Imagine this team with Leach running the offense and Aranda on the defense

The Pirate getting it done in Pullman. Just think, a competent offense with a very competent defense. Plus post game interviews would be fun

The defense would most likely suffer.

Mike Leach is a great coach and probably the best offensive mind in college football in the last 30 years.

Tennessee really missed an opportunity to hire him last year. I would take him here in a heartbeat over what we currently have.

I would hire him for the entertainment alone. Dude is some much-needed comic relief in what has become an uber-serious sport.

I honestly love how he conducts himself as the coach of a sports team (a game, for pete's sake) instead of acting like he's the Secretary of Defense.

has anyone not learned that all these air raid offenses started slowly implementing a balanced run game because their defense were suffering too much?

Aggies (under sumlin) WSU, OSU, Tech, TCU, WVU. all went the way of 50 60 70 passes a game and now all stress somewhat of a run game for balance

we don't need a top 10 offense, we need an efficient offense and a system that gives our QB easy reads and allows our WRs to make space with playcalling, not just physical talent.

Tired of hearing this dumb arse shite.

What’s the difference in scoring quick and often and our pathetic arse offense going 3 and out putting the defense back on the field anyway?

You realize that Washington State is in the top 15 of the entire country for time of possession right? They’re 15 spots better than LSU. Just saying.

The misconception with Leach is that he just flings it all over the field. He doesn’t do that per say. His quarterbacks have high completion percentages because they make simple throws. Why do you think he can take QBs no one wants and have them throw for 5k? He understands how to make offense easy. Now, he doesn’t run the ball a lot but he substitutes passes that might as well be a run game to get players out in space. He runs the ball by making short easy throws to the running backs to avoid the clutter of running it up the middle. He’s a damn offensive genius and that’s just a fact. He’s as smart as they come when it comes to understanding how to attack defenses. His offenses have been successful everywhere he’s been with extremely sub par talent. Give him a truly talent QB and some five star receivers and watch what he does.

Plus, I would thoroughly enjoy the entertainment factor of his press conferences. Those things are gold.

Also, they recruit talent at the QB position and train that talent.

I'd rather score quickly than go 3 and out everytime.

Or just like our own? I don't see how a quick scoring offense is harder on a team's defense than a 3& out offense. Both are wearing the shite out of a team's defense.

Why not Aranda as HC/DC and K Briles running the air raid

Leach does not run an air raid offense. He's a possession offense that utilizes short passing game. Watched it this weekend against Colorado, WSU drives were averaging 5:30 minutes

Huge misconception. Does the Saints Defense suffer when Brees puts up 50?
