Terry Bowden still talks about this, to this day! I shite you not. I went with my brother to his ULM visit earlier this year and ended up eating lunch with tater. I told him about my first LSU game (AU ‘93) & he immediately brought this up. Pretty awesome!

So sad that the way he threw him to the ground would be an immediate roughing the passer call these days!

No it wouldn't. He still had the ball, therefore he was a runner, not a passer at that point.

I was 18 and at the game sitting in the northeast corner of the end zone half way up not far from where the whistle took place. Geaux Tigers!

Was home on leave after a deployment and remember this night! My ears rang for two days. Back when Death Valley was the real deal. Partied hard before and after the game…great days!!

It’s amazing how loud it was on that last play of the game.

Cool story, my 1st as a student. Earlier that week, I was standing in line to pick up my student tickets like some ancient late 1900s way of living.

A local TV station interviewed me and I got lucky enough to record the 10pm news that night on VHS with my interview. However, their name associated with interview got mixed up and they said I was Trey Coon skipping a class to stand in line. Some of my friends started calling me that name after.

Great story and what a great night. Hot and sticky, one of those games as a fan that you felt completely drained at the end of the night. It was such a rewarding night after 6 straight losing seasons, especially to see Howard carried off the field after Curley and Lynn Amadee f'd him over the year before.
