I'm surprised Wade didn't have Smart miss the 2nd free throw

Tough to convert either way but that last shot was a little too close for comfort. Seems like Tenn doesn't get as good of a look if he misses on purpose.

Great game though, Tigers!

What if we foul them after the timeout in the last shot attempt? I think it was the right call...they had a timeout.

They still had a timeout. They would have had a chance to win rather than just tie from two if he had missed.

Obviously you want to make the basket there.

Um, no. They would have had to (1) get the rebound, then (2) call time out. That would have run out the clock.

But smart made it and that last shot by Tennessee would’ve only tied it. Had smart missed Tennessee could’ve orchestrated that same play but for the win instead

I agree should have missed. No time to set a play and there would have been a lot of confusion

Terrible defense by Reid on that inbound pass.

Not physically possible. Smart was at the FT line with 0.6. If he misses and Tennessee immediately rebounds and calls timeout, at least .3 has to run off the clock, leaving only .3 remaining. The shot Tennessee got took more than. 3 to execute.

For sure miss it. No way they get a shot off and if they did it would be one in a million.

Missing it is the right thing to do.

LSU didn't put anyone in the lane for that reason.

I thought they had added time to the clock at first (1.4?), but that never made it to the clock.

With 1.4, you have to make because UT would have called a timeout on the rebound and still had time for the catch and shoot.

However, if it was really .6, the miss makes more sense. The rebound and timeout would have taken .3 at minimum.

Yea he screwed up there and almost bit him in the arse. You have to miss the 2nd every time in that situation. Dont care if they had a timeout. You miss it and theres no telling what kind of bounce you going to get and theres a chance time will run out and they dont get a shot off

Didn't the clock go to zero prior to the all leaving his hand?

You can play that either way. The way Wade chose won the game. Not worth bitching about

Barnes told the official he wanted a timeout on a rebound or make. So they would have had a TO at 0.6.

The inbounder didn’t run the baseline, so no advantage on a make vs miss there.

Tennessee took a halfway decent 2 point shot at the buzzer. It was nice to be up by 2.

You can play it either way but only one of them is correct. Miss the second it’s the only safe option.
