I like how all our fans are acting like they know all of the background in this saga.

We don’t know sh*t of went on behind the scenes to make LSU *not* come out and pay him the full buyout. Just chill and let it play out

f there was some 10-D chess being played and LSU actually followed the procedure to fire him for cause, you will see the dirty laundry come out in the next suit where BK alleges the cause didn't exist.

Does anyone really think LSU is playing 10-D chess? It's clear that those in charge for the past three weeks could barely play tic tac toe. If the goal was to get him to take a reduced buy out the dirt would have already been spilled.

The next coach also knows that LSU thinks any contract terms are subject to relitigation if it doesn’t work out. Basically, all terms in the contract have to be looked at with suspicion.

Well, FFS, really, ANYTHING negotiated and laid out in legalese in contract form by lawyers needs to be looked at with suspicion!

While losing the PR game, I am fine with how LSU is handling the buyout.

Kelly obviously wants a lump sum and does not want to receive $800k over the next 6+ years.

Clearly, Kelly would like more than $30 million in some form of a lump sum settlement. Maybe that number is $35 mill…maybe it’s $40 mill.

To the "LSU is contractually obligated and Kelly shouldn’t give an inch crowd"…Ok…then he will receive it as $800k per month for 6+ years and like it.

Both sides are just using leverage to get the best terms possible. I suspect they will eventually settle it outside of court for a lump sum figure significantly less than $50 million.

When lsu files their answer, there will be another story.

So why hasn’t LSU filed their answer yet? They are claiming the have information that is grounds to fire BK with cause but are refusing to actually do it. What are they waiting on?

They going to settle or LSU attorneys are going to have to go all the way. Kelly is going to get charged with the whole truckload. Murder. Conspiracy. Conduct unbecoming.

Wrong. SW did. This is his mess. I hope that dude gets raked over the coals and slandered during the whole process. I hope he has to leave the area. Dude did infinite more damage than Landry. I hope Landry cooks him.

If LSU does file dirt, it will not be in the answer but the motion for summary judgment or to dismiss. Such facts are usually included in motions.

He also wants to coach again which will deduct from his monthly payments. If he gets as much as he can now he’ll wash his hands of LSU I assume. But you know what happens when we assume

LSU missed their 7 day window. They had BK clean out his office and leave town. Now they want to say he wasn't fired just re-assigned. Really? Where else on campus was he directed to go.

This board has been passing off the lawsuit language as fact all day.

The lawsuit asks whether or not Kelly is fired, he doesn’t even know, but most of these people are like “pay the man!”

I think they miscalculated how much more complicated they made the situation.

The evidence would highly likely show that Kelly's "dirt" to the extent it exists was known to LSU at all relevant times and LSU did nothing and said mostly nothing until LSU decided it wanted to negotiate the buyout after the fact.

Not if the “dirt” is that he was no longer cooperating with the AD after written warning. Would have created an incurable situation.
