re: I'm really surprised in a good way how tight lipped the LSU PC search is

Who would be on your list of home run hires?

I think right now Tulowitzki is working with the Stars & Stripes team.

Berry looks like Drew Brees.

Oh, I have no idea.
My comment wasn’t meant as a dig on Johnson or anything. It was a joke about how much Rogers has been hyping up the assistant hires. This isn’t the first time he’s mentioned Johnson is swinging for the fence or that we will all be very happy with who he gets.

I'd like Childress and Tulowitzki. Childress, for obvious reasons. Johnson can really handle the hitting on his own but Tulowitzki would be a great clubhouse guy and mentor.
I definitely agree that both would be great hires in their own right; but which one are you making the recruiting coordinator?
It would stand to reason that Tulo would be it since he is younger, more energetic, and wouldn’t be the full time hitting coach since Johnson will handle much of that. However, that comes with a risk as he’s only been coaching for 2 years and hasn’t really had any recruiting responsibilities at TX since he is the volunteer coach and they can’t recruit off campus. Plus would someone of his wealth really want the grind of being recruiting coordinator. He may be happy with the lesser responsibilities of being volunteer coach.

How about James Ramsey of Georgia Tech as hitting coach and recruiting coordinator?

I'll have something Wed. Best to wait than to ruffle feathers.

Look at Kendall dropping in the late night tidbit. You must have been lurking around these parts for a while to know that’s how the true insiders do it.
Is this going to be a post facto update or is it likely to be predictive on who the top candidates are?

Wes Johnson
Johnson & Johnson has a nice ring.

Maybe for you. Not for us.

Jay's going to hire two full-time staff with a PC and a recruiting coordinator. Neither PC or Assistant hitting coach would get that role.
J's hitting coach will be the volunteer assistant

Have their names been mentioned on this board?
Posted on 7/5/21 at 11:00 pm to LSUTigers_00
That would make sense.
A really good pitching coach and a stud recruiter is all that is needed.

Bass Pro Hats being a trend is pretty random.

It was this weekend, or Monday. Now it's maybe today.
You are going to keep pushing it back a day at a time and eventually you'll be correct. Then you can come here and try to tell us how smart you are, and the sheep will follow.
