This season is no different in terms of fans bitching about baseball in early season play. It'll pass.

Paul also has some very strong MLB relationships...How about one of his best friends...
Only know this because I ran in to him at a Pittsburgh bar. Talked about driving the recruitment of Theriot and Fontenot to the Cubs. Fun stuff
Jim Hendry - Chicago Cubs / NY Yankees

That's the most among active head coaches in that time period. The only coaches that have won more than one since Paul took over are Casey (Oregon State) and Tanner (USCe) neither of which are currently coaching

LSU baseball used to have some excitement. I would have been major league pissed last night if I had paid to see that, endured the traffic, and frozen my arse off.
Not much to worry about there last night. I got in and out with no problems.

Obviously CPM is not a bad coach and is a hall of farmer, but with that said I am more concerned with the lack of enthusiasm by the team. I see zero leadership from a fans perspective. This team had very few players that have shown they can do well at the SEC level. Cabrera, Beloso and Garza for a half of a season and that’s it. I am not the kind of fan that always thinks a new coach is the answer but in LSU’s case I do believe a change needs to be made at the top. I felt this way long before the season started. I know baseball teams can turn it around but the lifelessness is simply unacceptable at any level.

Paul has never proven me wrong. I love the way he accepts no accountability for his team’s poor performance.
Just this week he said the lack of focus against Nichols was his fault. What an idiot you are!

Are saying CPM had an input with Hendry in regards to Theriot/Fontenot?
They both played for Skip. They were teammates with the Cubs in '05. CPM came to LSU in '07.
I dont think he gets credit for the Cubs drafting/signing these two. Sorry if I misunderstood your point.

Enjoy? What? Mediocre baseball?
I've seen people say all sorts of conflicting things about LSU fans. Great, Horrible, friendly, mean, vulgar, polite, etc. But on thing is surely true, there is a large portion of the fan base that doesn't really understand what the word mediocre means.

Member when everyone watching bitching at the people who wanted Les gone. Why would you fire a coach who wins 9 to 10 games a year..... oh that’s why

You're going to get blasted because of the zeitgeist but you're really not wrong. And I'm pretty disillusioned at this point with CPM but this is in fact his MO. He spends all year tinkering and then his teams always seem to turn it on at the end. The history is pretty clear.
I think the real issue that a lot of people have is that the same issues keep coming up and it seems like there is no attempt to address them. Issues that either prevent the team from reaching their full potential based on the talent or getting in a better position for postseason or getting to Omaha.
More than winning, people want to see an upward trajectory. That's what expectations are all about. Les Miles won but there was no upward trajectory. The program had plateaued with no signs of ever getting over the hump. It's why will Wade mostly gets a pass from the fans. He took a terrible program and in a few short years won the sec in one of its most competitive years, made a sweet 16 and seems to be making them nationally relevant. That's upward trajectory.

Uh, Corbin has more and CPM is tied with coastal Carolina and Florida on Championships

I'm worried about the team and our place in staying at the top, while you worry about PM and the fans opinions.....
