I’m not one to complain about the commentary, but GD’s call was not good.

And I usually like Gary Danielson.
The first call by GD that irritated me was the catch by Jefferson on the sidelines that was called in by the line judge. Gary was going off and was adamant that Jefferson landed out. The replay confirmed that not only was it a catch but Jefferson double tapped one foot inbounds and it was good enough to be called a reception in CFB and the NFL.
The next call by Gary that was very irritating was the Auburn receiver losing control of the ball while falling out of bounds. After replay the ref confirmed it was an incomplete pass but Danielson continued on with his commentary as if it was an Auburn reception. It was the weirdest thing.

Gary fricked up a bunch of shite Saturday. Wrong person, position, etc. Even the wrong team a few times.

He’s the best in the business and LSU fans cry really hard when he isn’t an LSU cheerleader.

Todd Blackledge is the best. I find his analysis spot on and he is pretty disciplined about calling just balls and strikes.

You must not remember that Gary Danielson loved Jamarcus Russell as much as Verne loved Tebow.
I've always liked Gary Danielson and defended him but he was bad yesterday. He blew almost every replay. Like he was looking at something else. I didn't get the sense he was rooting for one side or the other. He was bad because he was so wrong so much. Maybe he's getting old.

He is smart and typically attuned to the game exceptionally well. Can almost smell a play coming. It just my personal opinion but I wish he would quit interjecting the broadcast into each questionable call and actually advocating a damn position for the call, one way or another. He needs to shut up and let the officials make the damn calls. The media in this country cannot keep from pontificating about every little item. It’s bat shite crazy. It’s cost all of them their legitimacy and you can’t put a price on that. No one believes any of them anymore!

Just about the only thing GD got right yesterday was the fumble on Auburn’s second drive of the game. Everywhere else he was off, slightly inaccurate, or flat-out wrong.

I mute them for the most part and I stopped watching the pick em shows. Only watch the Alabama SEC Network for our games. Makes me happier

In the second half I just mentally tuned him out. Easy to do when you have half a bottle of rum in your belly. But I like the sound turned up for the atmosphere.
