I hope all these talking heads get just what they have wanted all year! BSU / TCU NC game. Their chief network executive will love that and all the money they lose.
ESPN, Fox & MSNBC the new agenda driven media.

if we win out this yr, we will get this kind of talk next year. Remember in '06 we weren't talked about much by ESPN.

Cmon. We can all be fans but that doesn't mean we can't be reasonable. It aint like LSU has put up the most awesome 10-1 season ever. I'm happy we're 10-1 but sheesh folks, don't act like it is the cleanest 10-1 ever.

similar to what FOX did in the cable news industry.

conceded the BCS to ESPN

who is left after that???

Versus? CBS college?

it's amazing how ESPN has managed to nearly monopolize CFB coverage

Here are the facts:

Oregon 2-0 vs teams ranked in top 25 (plays #21 Az on 11/26)
Auburn 3-0 vs teams ranked in top 25 (still plays #11 Alabama & #18 S. Carolina)
TCU 2-0 vs teams ranked in top 25
Boise State 2-0 vs teams ranked in top 25 (plays #19 Nevada 11/26)
LSU 4-1 vs teams ranked in top 25 (#12 Arkansas will make it 5-1)
Stanford 1-1 vs teams ranked in top 25
Wisconsin 2-1 vs teams ranked in top 25
Ohio State 2-1 vs teams ranked in top 25
Okla State 0-1 vs teams ranked in top 25 (plays #13 Okla 11/27)
Mich State 2-1 vs teams ranked in top 25

Assuming they both win out, a true strength-of-schedule BCS would pair LSU & Auburn in the NCG, but we all know that ain't gonna happen, even if Oregon & Boise were to lose their final games.

i havent read through this entire thread, but im sure its been pointed out no no end that the reason the media doesnt like LSU this year is becuase we are close in every game we play.

We play up to good competition, and down to bad.

to many , we appear lucky. (i gotta admit, at times this season ive felt that way)

Our offense seems to be playing better. Had we done that all season, we'd be a 1 loss favorite.

As long as there are human voters, there will be a human element which includes how you look, not just whether you win. When LSU plays inferior opponents such as Ole Miss, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt and doesn't dominate them, the human voters are not going to view LSU as being a great team. Great teams blow out bad opponents. They don't consistently let bad teams stay in games that they shouldn't be in. LSU under Miles consistently lets bad teams stay in games that they shouldn't. This is not how to earn respect nationally. If you want respect, you have to win close games against good teams, and beat down the bad ones consistently. Like it or not, that's how it is.

Really?? I've heard him say "LSU is very over-rated" more than once this year.

i share the exact same opinion.

but this season is what it is. this team has exceeded all expectations and has brought me from nega to posi tiger (excluding GC).

next year is a season to look forward to.

Wisconsin and Stanford are killing people while we struggle to beat almost everyone. It isn't hard to figure out. It's why crap like the UT game matters.

It's not that they are anti-LSU... It's that they are biased for viewers. Big-10 and Pac-10 country are densely populated... Louisiana nsm... So if it comes down to LSU versus a bunch of Pac-10 or Big-10 teams, we lose. And right now they are comparing us to Stanford, Wisconsin, Ohio State, and Michigan State.
