I’m more confident about this game than I was for Florida

UF’s stout d-line was going to be a big problem for our ajar offensive line and going into a very a hostile environment as only a 1pt favorite I admitttedly was nervous about it. Their secondary is pretty solid and when we kept the pressure of Joe he did a fine job at making his throws.

On the other hand, Georgia has the lowest sack rate in the SEC and their pass rush has been pretty abysmal. They lost a good amount in their secondary from last year and they aren’t as good as UF’s DB’s are. If we prepare accordingly, our offensive line should give Burrow much more time to make throws against a secondary that is probably on Auburn’s level skill wise. I wouldn’t mind Burrow throwing the ball 40+ times this game. We certainly have the ability to put up 4 TD’s on them. The crowd will help our defense as well. This is probably the most hostile environment they’ve played in over a year and the best team they’ve played all year by far. I just don’t see them rolling in and dropping like 35 on us like all of y’all are predicting. There are big holes in their defense and we can put up some points.

If they clean up all the missed assignments on the line and bring more pressure on defense, we've got a good chance.

I really don’t know what to expect. We can hang with the big boys and we also let bad teams hang around. We have to stop the run first. If we can slow down the run and keep Burrow clean I feel we have a great shot at beating them.

Me too. I think UGA has been overrated all year and really dont have a win vs a good team.

They will get punched around hard on Saturday. I expect a 10 point win

Same here. The Swamp was rocking Saturday like I haven’t seen it since Tebow days. It definetly energized their team while our sideline was dead most of the game. I think Tiger stadium brings it Saturday and makes a difference. Keep it close, keep the crowd in it and we can easily win this or even run away with it.

If you are/were confident about either, that's just hope. Could happen, or could most definitely not happen. You don't know what you're going to get.

I'm down with the OP. While I'm not "expecting" to win I'm also less concerned with Georgia than I was with Florida. Georgia might be #2 but they also haven't played anyone up to now.

Probably not going to predict a final score but I think that LSU has to have this game, now whether they'll take it is anyone's guess.

This LSU team has a lot of talent, but it's young talent. There's a lot of true freshmen and soph's starting. With players so young they have a tendency to allow overconfidence to overwhelm their sense of expectations which can hinder their perception of how hard they need to play to win. I do hope the Fla game was a wake-up call and a good reality check so they realize talent doesn't win games if the effort is lackluster. Yes, I believe LSU has the potential to beat Ga. But they must play hard. These players should play to demolish the players in front of them regardless of ranking or name. Every single game they should play to destroy their opponent, not just on the score board, but in the other players minds. Break the spirit of the other players. This team has not learned to do this yet. If they can learn this and apply that knowledge on the field then this team still has a chance to make a significant mark this season. I don't think 2 losses will get them into the playoffs, and I don't think this team can beat Sabama. But only 2 losses will put them in the conversation for the playoffs and that alone would be a significant accomplishment and a good catalyst for next season.

How?
The creative offensive mind of Ensminger?
The solid wall of O-line pass protection?
The sure hands of the wide receivers, the so called strength of our offense?

Other than Ole Miss when have we shown any offensive consistency?

Burrow averages 7.4 ypc. At 53% completion rate he'll have to throw 50 times to gain 200 yards.
