Just the fact that he has more experience has to help.
Experience provides knowledge....whether that translates into wins, who knows.

You have to be willing to learn from your experience, both success and failure, and apply what you have learned. If you keep following the same script and expect different results then experience doesn't mean much. I won't rehash all the similarities between his tenure at Ole Miss and what has transpired so far at LSU. I've done it a few times already.

Ahhhhh ... I don't know about nothing being the correct answer. Coach O made his all thing be about learning from his past mistakes and letting his coaches coach. Repeated both mistakes in year 1, so whose to say it won't happen again? Of course that doesn't mean it WILL happen either. I think there's some merit in discussing some of last year and how it could affect this year.

The personal insults and actual bashing is nonsense. I'm talking an actual discussion and not a bunch of insults and nonsense.

Who's trashing him?
MANY

Does accurately recounting his past count as trashing him?
YES .. it is a passive aggressive form for those with no balls.
He is no longer the Ole Miss coach.

MOST people who succeed at what they do have failed before,
Others, have never attempted anything of worth.

That’s not true at all.
Some people who have failed succeed,

And a lot of people succeed without failing disaterously at their jobs.

Most people who fail don’t later succeed.

Totally agree....except I do not see the same similarities as time has passed, thus experience.

But no one will know the answer to that until the season plays out.
If he wins, he will continue to be employed.
If he does not he will not.

TRUE OF EVERY EMPLOYEE ..and that is all coaches are.

This is comical.

"Evidence?" Dude this isn't some great conspiracy that the fate of the free world depends on.

The "evidence" you refer to is simply the same old garbage spewed out over and over again by the usual suspects.

It's not like what they're saying is some hidden mystery suddenly being revealed.

We hired an unqualified boob who was not everyone's first choice. He under performed in his first full year. This is not that uncommon or earth-shattering.

Has he lost games he shouldn't? Yes and so did Les (see Bama 12 and 14). All coaches do at some point. But he hasn't lost enough to turn me completely against him yet and he sure as hell hasn't used his position to leverage more money on contract extensions (I know...no one would want him..ha ha) but still.
He has also shown the ability to continue adapting and changing rather than maintain the status quo like his predecessor.
The Troy loss was inexcusable. But as I said a few days ago, I've moved on from it. It was an OOC game that had no bearing on the way we finished in the SEC...which you and I both know ultimately determines whether you go to the playoffs or not. Have we had lost only one game (Troy) last season, we would have made the playoffs.

I still believe 1/9 was a greater loss (sue me ) because of the magnitude of the game and the complete and total lack of competitiveness we displayed on the field but to each his own. That loss was humiliating...there is no other way to describe it.

Got a friend that went to ole piss when O was there, one of the football players said O came in locker room ripped his shirt off and was serious about wanting to wrestle his players to show dominance.

But hey, trump is our prez, so why not O be our coach? Lol

Miles peaked.

The argument can be made that O is coming into his own.

And if he does, LSU will have made the finest bargain buy in history.

I for one hope alleva looks like a prophet rather than a booger eating idiot.

None of that, in any way whatsoever, says that anyone wants him to fail or is pulling for him to fail. Actually, those are just facts (except the boo part).

Does it mean he can't be successful this year? No
Does it mean he can't be a good coach? No

See you figured this out on your own.....brownie button for you!

O didn't hire himself. Alleva should be catching the lion's share of the grief but he's not the face of the program.

Yeah, starting that season with a Hesiman trophy candidate wasn't at all exciting.

Yeah we had a lot of NFL talent during Miles tenure to be wasted from poor coaching , might be the same or worse with O, have to wait and see

I'm cautiously optimistic. He's done some things that seem to be good changes. It's hard to know until we see it on the field. I feel good about the talent.

Seems the only ones with no balls are those who want everyone to ignore the past so we don't have to talk about it.

Facts aren't "bashing". You just interpret it that way because you can't counter those facts with a notable list of accomplishments from Orgeron as a head coach. At least not yet.

A boy is given a horse on his 14th birthday. Everyone in the village says, “Oh how wonderful.” But a Zen master who lives in the village says, “We'll see.”

'The boy falls off the horse and breaks his foot. Everyone in the village says, “Oh how awful.” The Zen master says, “We'll see.”

The village is thrown into war and all the young men have to go to war. But, because of the broken foot, the boy stays behind. Everyone says, “Oh, how wonderful.” The Zen master says, “We'll see.”

Ya know my first manager position, I sucked at it, now I’m a kick arse manager, so I guess a lot of you feel that people can’t improve a skill.

Can’t really be negitive until he is able to rebuild important positions (ex DL) and see what the results are
