I used to really care about my school not "cheating" until I realized that the NCAA turns a blind eye to so much and only enforces things when it is convenient for them.

When the NCAA did not punish North Carolina at all despite finding unbelievable academic fraud going back over a decade with fake classes, fake teachers and fake grades, I realized it's not a level playing field or fair. That's much worse than paying players, etc., because it's an institution of higher learning first and foremost. And the head of the NCAA committee that somehow decided not to punish NC was none other than current SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey.

Knasas and Duke were both involved with Zion Williamson's recruitment which we know was dirty due to the wiretap and his stepdad asking for a job, cash and housing for the family. Anyone with half of a brain knows that if Zion ended up at Duke, they paid for him. Zion Williamson is still playing. Coach K is still coaching without getting dogged by questions about it. And Bill Self is still coaching without getting dogged by questions about his assistant coach stating they would take care of all those requests just to get Zion there for 10 months.

Fight the the NCAA and potentially walk away unscathed or minor sanctions at worse like Arizona who did far worse.

Cuckold to the NCAA and guarantee sanctions.

The suspension of WW is admission of an unspecified violation.

Before the suspension the situation was stable and getting better and will get better as more coaches and teams are outed by Dawkins’ attorneys. We live in a relative world.

After the suspension the situation was made worse for LSU as a whole especially for the players.

Terrible but not uncharacteristic move by Alleva and F King.

Unfortunately, you’re probably correct when it comes too the larger, long-term picture. But I wonder if there was a way to finesse this crap a little better to show good faith on the part of LSU.
