How do you know that Nuss is not Joe B? How soon we forget about his progression from year one to 2019. Hopefully Nuss will do the same.

It’s mid August. We all buy in every year

I still remember reading how the 2020 team could be just as good or better than 19

We need the best Nuss there is. As far as 2020 I was not optimistic at all. No Burrow, Chase, Jefferson or CEH. Heavy, heavy on losing Burrow to eligibility.

can confidently say Nuss is somewhere between Burrow and Mauck/Flynn.

If Nuss wins it, to put him in that same category as the above mentioned, I’d say he’d be closer to burrow status, especially if it’s 0 losses.

If Nuss becomes a Joe Burrow we WILL win the SEC and maybe the NC. Howerver, without a sliver of doubt in my mind Nuss is not a Joe Burrow. Doesn't mean we don't have a chance to be great with Nuss. Joe Burrow was an unbelievable QB. Best I have ever seen at LSU or anywhere for that matter.

I didn’t have “we’re going to be the best team ever assembled” vibes until probably during the Vandy game in 2019…not because Vandy was good, but because we were actually putting up points every game like Burrow predicted in Spring. Going into the season I was still a little “wait and see” because of the way we finished 2018 from the Bama kickoff, through A&M, then a tough bowl game.

I actually feel just as confident this year than I did in August 2019.

Now…we’ll see if this 2025 team can put up 231 points in the first four games and notch a top ten OOC road win like 2019 and give me “Week 4 2019 vibes”

???????

I don't know football either but I do know we have done very well with senior QBs. Some Heismans. Some championships. Lots of wins.

Me either. I would love to be wrong. But these 9-4 seasons sandwiched between opening losses and garbage bowl games have taken their toll.

We had some mediocre years before we won it all in 2019. Perhaps you are forgetting BK's first year, we played mighty Georgia for the SEC championship. I am all in with BK. He inherited shite pile but has won 10 games every year. Problem for BK and every other SEC team is the SEC is loaded with teams that can beat you on any given day, does Vandy vs Bama ring a bell?.

Honestly, BK has no excuse this year. This defense is way better than what we had since 2019 and the offensive potential sky is the limit. It's as good a chance for LSU since 2019. There's no excuse on talent. If LSU doesn't approach the playoffs this year that's on BK and staff. There's nothing else he has left to fall on the sword for him.

Love how you turn optimism into an ultimatum directed to CBK.

Since I’m going to let 18 year olds decide what kind of mood I’m in for the next 5 months I might as well fall in the category of “championship or bust” so yeah… #geauxtigers

AAAAHHHH yet another clairvoyant clown. Try saying "MAY BE a major disappointment again" and gain some respect as a poster. You have no clue how this offensive line will perform this year. You may be right but it will be just your lucky guess and not based on any on field coaching experience you are doing at LSU.

Most concerning unit on this in my opinion. The interior OL was arse last season. No other way to put it. It was wild how often opposing defenses were able to get so much pressure right up the middle.

As far as the running game is concerned, I’m not very confident they will be able to. JD was able to hide the dysfunction of the run game. Nuss isn’t that and he doesn’t need to. Tuck and make a few decent runs to keep the defense honest. I have zero concern in the passing game. No reason it shouldn’t be stellar. Last year with the worst WR corps LSU has had in a longtime, they still put up decent, not great numbers. There are serious receiving threats on this team this year. Question is will the OL be arse on the interior, will they be able to get any kind of push running the football and other than Durham, will there be quality depth. We’ll see
