I'm here to admit I was wrong

I was totally against the lasers and light shows. I thought it was gaudy and distracted from the game. But Tiger Stadium looked fire on TV last night. It was an amazing show on the field and throughout the stadium. Let there be light.

I mean, the laser show was pretty terrible lol

I like it as the teams are coming out. I feel it adds to the intimidation factor. It’s annoying when they go to sideline reporters mid game and it’s going from dark to light. I’m an old man though so “get off my lawn!”.

The drone shows are much much cooler.
Sure they have been “done before” at this point but it’s still cooler than the laser show.
I think the difference on the music etc is you have a coach who has leaned in to culture.
It fits with the swag of the program.
It was disjointed having a coach and team that was so milquetoast and then blasting Boosie

The laser show at halftime wasn't on TV so I missed that.

I read soo much moaning and complaining from people about piped in music, lights shows and now laser shows and imagine most is from the older generation. Im in my 40s, old to some, dont keep ho with the latest music trend etc. But damn did my wife, my son and myself not have a damn good time. The music had everyone dancing and into the game, while the laser show could have been better it was still a cool change added after the Golden Band performance to bring energy back into the stadium.
I love the Band, I was on drumming and always dreamed to one day march in tiger band but life doesnt always go to plan, but you have to admit after a band performance the vibe is just more mellow no matter how good they are.
The bleacher music the band does play alot of times isnt that great, since Neck has been 86'd, I didnt hear right above it(maybe I missed it somehow) but the selections just dont get people into it. The tunes between plays with the chants is still great and keeps the whole stadium in it but like it or not the piped in dj music is needed

Maybe, but playing Set it Off with all the lights to start the 4th quarter in ‘24 was pretty dam cool

We have to move with the times in order to keep these kids interested and wanting to come here. And younger fans interested. I know it’s not a huge factor for recruiting, but it’s a small part of how we continue to stay relevant.

We now have a Rave at the football game halftime.
Alright then. I prefer a fun halftime band performance, but that takes a lot of dedication and practice and imagination. Those virtues are in short supply.
I guess the kids like rave music and simplistic laser light shows that were pioneered in the 80’s. Let me have it.

Honestly, what's "fun" about a halftime band performance? I've been watching LSU since 1983 and could care about it as much as watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade. Oldheads need to understand that some traditions have become stale and everything can't just stay the same generation after generation while also growing the fanbase.

From watching on TV, it looked dumb af the stadium going dark when the players came out. And stayed dark for way too long. It completely ruins the immersion of watching a football game. Very annoying to me. I hate it. Maybe its a different feeling in the stadium, but watching on Tv its dumb.
