Also has to be up there as one of the best MLB players to come out of LSU

No debate from me. His career has been fantastic. Bell has the numbers and should be in the HOF, but he’s not a far off second imo. Bregman may end up close. Hard to believe he’s in his 10th season already.

Just means we're getting old. I felt that when they had the 25 year anniversary for the 2000 team this weekend

I would take DJ over probably any other LSU SS.

one of his own teammates took SS from him midway through '09.
and that guy doesn't even get mentioned in top SS's at LSU.

Took me a minute to figure out why all those families were on the field before the game Saturday. Was pretty cool. But yeah… I remember being in Florida for a tournament when they won it all that year. The start of the travel ball craze.

Austin is one of my favorite players to come through LSU. And he’s 2nd in my book. Wont ever have the batting numbers but my god was he smooth. Crazy to think they he had to convert to catcher to make it to the bigs.

I never want to see a fight and a LSU player ejected but it would have been a good show if Jared Jones would have thumped him.

He reminded me of the 4’ tall scrawny punk that always wanted to pick a fight with anyone cause they thought they were bad a**. They always needed a good a** whipping to put them in their place.

I’ll take Milan. Better bat, better attitude, and equal glove.

Probably because people who know baseball don’t live in a fantasy world.

Monster has been very good @ SS and he’s very quick with getting the ball out, but be serious.

That cocksucker should’ve taken a fastball to his ear hole.

I’m actually surprised Vitello is wasting a lineup spot on that bum

His 200 hitting arse is already gone. Big hole in their order, he will be replaced

3 errors all year. Hits from both sides. Average and power from the left side. Multiple walkoff HRs.

Because Milam doesn’t have near the range of Bregman

Judging a SS simply by errors is an awful way to do it.

Milam is awesome but there is a reason almost every single scout has him profiled as a 2nd baseman

I was kinda thinking Vitello removed him from the game in the late innings yesterday to avoid him taking a fastball in the backside.

I'm not ready to crown him yet, but he will definitely be in the conversation before his tenure is over. You can make an argument that Nola was just as good or better defensively, and LSU has had multiple SS who put up better offensive numbers (ie Larson, Bregman). But Milam might be more well-rounded than his predecessors. His conference slump this season isn't helping his case this year, but there's still no one outside of maybe Curiel that I'd rather have at the plate in a clutch situation than Monster.

Getting to balls that Milam can’t and easily a better hitter would be Alexander Bregman

That was his evaluation last year yea, but that has changed. His range and arm strength and quickness have a few scouts thinking he could be looked at there too. I sat with a couple this weekend.

As for errors, it’s just to point out how amazing 3 is, I don’t care where you play. But at SS, his hands and arm/accuracy are unmatched.
