My personal opinion: if that happens in the way you describe, then I don't think the committee will make any choice that involves sending an SEC team to the playoffs.
If Georgia wins out and then loses in the SECCG, and the committee has the inclinations you suspect, then that might be the impetus they finally use to exclude the hated SEC from the playoffs.
I can see it now: "LSU? Sure, they won the SEC but they still have two losses. Georgia? They didn't even win their conference championship game".
Again, my opinion: if LSU wins out, then beats #1 Georgia in the SECCG, I don't see how they could keep us out; At that point, our schedule would include beating Bama and Georgia, and losing to FSU (who will probably win the ACC) and barely losing to an in-division foe that will probably be ranked as well.

This whole "rent free" thing is silly. It's almost as overplayed as the "you sound triggered" bit.
Unless you're Auburn and obsessing over Bama, or A+M obsessing over Texas, it is a stupid retort. Guess what, dorks... Ole Miss is ahead of us and holds the tiebreaker against us. Of course we're going to be keeping an eye on their games.
As for me, I lived in Texas too long to ever hope Aggee has success. Screw them. One benefit of Jimbo losing more games is that we may have a few of their 5 star studs looking for greener pastures.

Correct. It’s all a very hypothetical long shot and all, but LSU’s best case would be for UGA to still be #1, and then have FSU undefeated, as a playoff team.
No one else in consideration would have anywhere near the difficulty of our schedule: 12-1 UGA, 12-0 fsu, 10-2 Bama, 10-2 Mizzou, 10-2 Ole Miss; and then sprinkle in poor A&M, Florida & Auburn, (who all will have bad records, but SOS off the charts)
A One loss big 10 team should be eliminated just based on their trash schedules
