I notice a ton of the Bama fans coming into the tiger rant, but it is all out of jealousy. They are jealous that LSU has had all this success in the past years and they need rub it in anyway they can. They haven't won a meaningful game sine Shaun Alexander was running the ball for them. The only thing Saban has won for Alabama since he has been there is the Independence bowl trophy and coach of the year trophy. I know we have lost two games, but I think a after a few coaching changes on offense like we did on defense last year and we will be ok.

I'd rather be jealous of the past than the future.

I think we are probably jealous of the past and the future if we are honest with ourselves.

I think the Bama fans are trying to convince themselves that they had a legitimate victory over the Tigers the other night???
It's over Bama won, with the help of the refs, and that's that. We won’t know what could have been, all we can do is speculate that “Bama would have probably won the game anyway.” If Bama gets fricked in the SEC championship game, because the SEC wants Tim Tebow to represent the SEC in the BCSCG, then Bama will be crying foul play too!
And by the way BAMA, It is not just LSU fans who witnessed this… Most of the college football fan base was watching the game and recognizes the corruptness of the SEC officiating. Too bad for BOTH Teams, and the conference as a whole!
PS - I liked it better when the talent in the SEC was such that teams would beat up on each other throughout the season, and the winner of the SECCG would be a true champ. This is what gave the conference an identity and put this conference head and shoulders above the rest. So much that now, regardless of having one or two losses, an SEC team is almost always going to be given the benefit of the doubt and would make the BCS Championship game. Now because of the obvious corrupt play by the refs this season, there will be a backlash affect in the long run and all of the SEC haters out there will have a platform to stand on and that sucks!

When you outgain somebody 450-252 you don't have to convince yourself it was a legit victory. Either way though, it doesn't matter. Because Alabama is undefeated and on its way to another SEC title game while LSU still hasn't beaten a top SEC team since 2007.

Right, because they tally the yards at the end and that decides the winner. I wonder who's side the refs will choose in Atlanta...

Hey bigpapamac, what was the yardage totals before LSU's quarterback was knocked out of the game with an illegal hit.
And would the total yards between the two teams maybe be different had Bama say not been given the ball when it was clearly an interception with 5 minutes to go in the game, and let’s say LSU had driven the distance and scored. Would that maybe make a difference in total yardage???
The bad calls and no call on the int changed the complexity of the game, so yes the total yards is a bogus, just like the name bigpapamac,,,

i was outraged at the blown call as well.it took away the interception that lee was going to throw to bama's defense.

Do they use conference refs for conference championship games?

I agree, and not deserved. For the most part, your fans are super nice folks who love their university, and there's nothing wrong with that. As long as they respect that I feel the same about my university, everything is cool.
