fake Southern Rock from California...
Fake or not it's a short list of bands that did it better.

Nothing like fake Southern Rock from California..
As long as your know that Garth is from OK. Not Cali by any means but CCR (while performing a few too many Louisiana songs) captured the southern rock pretty well.
Eliminating them due to Cali is a lil too simple.

I love these kinds of threads
It shows who understands the fact these are 18 year olds playing a sport
And it shows who are out of touch get off my lawn geezers
Swag Surf is an appropriate pick.
One thread some Boomer was talking about having "Paint it Black" by the Stones play before LF fields a kickoff or something. Unbelievable.

Deep Purple:
Highway Star. Smoke on the Water (intro)!
Led Zepplin:
Kashmir. Heartbreaker. Too many great opening riffs to list!
Beastie Boys:
Sabotage.

No fricking music at all! That stupid bullshite is part of what’s ruined the Tiger Stadium experience. This is LSU. We know when to get up and support the team. No need for that garbage to be playing at all. We have a band

I love replies like these.
You know, where folks think the crowd is majority 23-and-younger.

That’s not the case, at all, but still give me a chuckle when they say that.
It’s really a trail and error type thing. USCe is rolling with a song from 1968 and gets that crowd up.
You can roll with “swag surf”. It may work. It may not. But it’s fun to see these little kids demand what is in their mind.

"A recording of the band playing Neck."
Frick that. How about the actual GBFTL playing Neck.

CCR's debut album actually came two years before the Allman Bros debut. CCR literally invented the genre, even if they don't specifically fit the name of the genre, which came along years later.

LSU/Auburn "Earthquake" Game Touchdown pass Audio on a loop over and over to double the richter scale output.

Why about that little ditty about going to Applebees?

First album I ever purchased was Bayou Country by CCR back in 1969. While they were from California, they obviously had an affinity for Louisiana and the South. Nothing fake about CCR. They were about as down to earth a band as there was.
