I support LSU.

We just went 6-2 in the SEC which was an improvement from previous seasons.

Why so mad

I think you evaluate a coach on the performance of his program. A 9-3 regular season, with a 6-2 record in the SEC is acceptable performance in the first year of inheriting a program that had depth and injury issues on both lines. If you see improvement from there, you keep him, if you don’t, you fire him. It’s utterly ridiculous to fire someone after 1 season, when your primary reason is you didn’t like a coordinator hire. Quite simply, if you want good people to work for you, they need to know they will be given the opportunity to be evaluated rationally and on their own merit.

1. He is the head coach of the LSU football program.
2. I'm not a cry baby.
3. I don't melt over everything that doesn't go my way.

Nothing you type during this shite show can.
Type when O goes 10-2 or better next season and I’ll listen.

for me I don't have any particular allegiance to any particular coach I just want what is best for LSU football.
What's best for LSU football is for O to suffer a quick coaching death because a slow one is FAR worse.

And rest assured, the slow one has started.

I support O. I know I’ll get beat up for this and I don’t care. At least I’ve got the chest to speak up while others on here probably don’t. I have had the opportunity to meet him and be around him for about an hour. Awesome guy! Knows football and he makes you feel very important. It’s obvious why people like him and why he is such a great recruiter when you meet him because he knows how to treat people. I think he has put his foot in his mouth a couple of times and has probably said some things that he wishes he could take back. He should have never said he was gonna hire the best coordinators in the country. If Canada would have never been hired and he could have gone straight into E after those 9 games in 16 everyone on this board would have been ok with that. I know people that are big taf members and they don’t have the same kind of panic the rant has. They were the last to be done with Miles and they are ok with CEO. The main reason I like him is because the dude can flat out recruit and he knows how to evaluate talent. If given an opportunity (which I think he will be given) LSU is gonna be loaded on the offensive and defensive lines and over history that has proven as the recipe. Nick knew that! Les didn’t get it! Les was more worried with beating Nick that he forgot that being LSU is good enough.

Embarrassing bowl performance
Lost a great OC to promote a TE coach.

You people can’t honestly believe this program is trending in the right direction

I will never understand anyone who wants Mike Leach to actually come coach here. He might be better than O, but he is FAR from an elite level coach. Or even the level below that. The dude is the epitome of mediocre.

I support LSU Football, therefore, I support the coaching staff and hold them accountable to produce a winning championship program. If they don’t, I expect appropriate actions to take place to make necessary changes to achieve that goal.

YOU HONESTLY THINK NO COACH WANTED A TOP 5 JOB IN THE COUNTRY
Since you are going to yell I'll make a simple point...

You can't scream for Alleva and FKA's heads citing their lack of commitment to having a winning athletic program and in the same breath call us a top-5 landing spot for coaches.

I for one think the problem originates in the admin; or at least no fix is a true fix until that is resolved. That means, by definition, we are not a top coaching job. If I see it, you see it, 1000's of ranters see it, Jimbo saw it... you bet your arse the relatively small world of quality coaches see it.

FKA DID use the threat of having to shut down football as part of his weapons to garner more power. I do not see a commitment to making us better. He did this publicly. He very publicly backdoored our weak arse AD, making him look even weaker, at the end of 2015. No one is going to put their security, future, and reputations in the hands of people who give two fricks.

We WERE a top-5 job. Our admin INTENTIONALLY turned us into mid-tier, for power and money.

Not sure if serious

Losing to Notre Dame in the last minute is not embarrassing. Those missed FGs were pretty embarrassing I’ll give you that.

You think Canada is a great OC?

I agree. I'm not going to make myself miserable for 8 months for something that probably will be the way it is until games are lost. That's when the real evidence will be there to remove O and a few others and move in another direction. A portion of the fanbase is bitching in here but not doing anything concrete about it. Let me know there's something in place.

He's nowhere close to the top coach, but I'll reserve my stress for when I see it cost us games since he's here for now. No reason to start 50 threads a day on the same topic that everyone knows. You won't find many of us who want the team to win it seems, because winning will mean O keeps his job which is the main thing some of you hope we lose for. If he wins he stays. If he loses he goes. That simple.

There's nothing for you to stand on right now to hire another coach and he's still here. Until there's another season like last year and traction to remove O, I'll enjoy my life and support the school and players.

But he comes out and gets dominated by Troy and Mississippi State and you see nothing wrong. What’s the difference?

He didn't play. The players sucked big time those games.
What a shame you don't have the keen ability to fathom that this team didn't fold after Troy. The staff did what it took to get them to rebound and play a NYDay game. LSU players did not fold like FSU's did for Jimbo.
