I've tried this but it's literally apples and dinosaurs.
A lot of this depends on the state of the league and competition during each of these seasons. Although, I think the 03 team was the most rounded team.

06 was so damned stacked. 03 & 11 were dynamite teams, however, I can't comprehend the inexplicable bed wetting at home versus the unranked Zookers, & of course, 1/9/12. I'll give the nod for best team to 03 because JJ couldn't carry Mauck's jock with a Chinook helicopter. 06 had the #1 pick in the draft, ironically however, he prob cost us the fla game and didn't make the plays vs auburn.

Easily 2003 #1. A NC in 2007 gets #2. 2011 13-1 and CG appearance is #3 (could have been #1 team). #4 goes to 2006 - the 2nd best LSU team in that era to NOT win a NC. The rest are debatable, of course, but I favor 2000/2001 seasons of rebuilding and surprise success than say 2008 or 2012 of lofty expectations dulled.
4: 2006: 11-2
5: 2001: 10-3 SEC.
6: 2000: 8-4

1. 2003: 13-1 NC/SEC.

03' gets top spot. But best team at END of the season is without a doubt 06'. No one in the nation was beating us the way JaMarcus was playing.

2011 was the best team. This would be a given if we didn't change the rules of CFB for bamas benefit. That last game lsu should have been arse rolling a team that actually won their conference.

'03 (physically dominant up front on both lines)
'06 (jump passes and reversed pass interferences make me ill)
'07 (brutal schedule)
(First three All cause of qb play)
'11 (best special teams play I've ever witnessed)
'05 (underrated due to circumstances)
'10 (my favorite group of DBs and maybe the best group ever for LSU)
The rest in any order.
2011 would be first if qb play would have been mediocre. Everything about 2011 was great except for the passing game.

I didn't really sit down and think much about it but this isn't too far off from what it would have been if I had. I honestly think the 2006 team was one of our best ever. I loved watching them play, and really loved watching them destroy Notre Dame in New Orleans.
