Who would you personally pencil in at RF, and why.

Jake Brown. He's the best player.

Jake Brown. He had 5 RBIs on Friday against Arkie. Josh Pearson has knocked in ONLY 6 in the first 27 SEC games. It's pretty simple that Brown is more reliable despite the matchup.

He would struggle with today's pitching.

Johnson obviously sees something in practice and in camps that leads him not to trust Brown against lefties. We haven’t seen him enough in games to draw a different conclusion.

Brown is batting like .178 against lefties and close to .400 against righties not that wild he’s not starting. He usually pinch hits whenever the reliever comes in around 6th inning

Brown. Every game. Best fielder and hitter

The Greatest RF ever:
Roberto Clemente
Oohh, for LSU- Ethan Frye. The guys bat does damage.

Pearson is struggling against everyone, and Brown is better in the field. If we are benching people just for their splits, remember that Jared Jones is batting .241 in SEC play and is K'ing every 2.7 at bats. To be clear, I'm not saying we should bench Jones. I'm just saying that people do some mental gymnastics to shite on Brown in order to justify putting Pearson in the lineup.

This should be evidence enough that Johnson isn’t benching Brown JUST based on splits. There isn’t enough differentiation based solely on splits to go with Pearson. It’s much more likely that the splits simply reinforce what Johnson has seen in practice and camp.

To be fair, Brown has looked like he literally doesn’t stand a chance if he’s facing a lefty who has any kind of decent offspeed pitch. With that said it’s pretty close, Brown has been on fire lately.

I’d hand the pencil to Jay, lol.

I mean we have all been able to see it live in games. The rant just chooses to ignore it.

Brown against RH without a doubt and probably Pearson against LH. The first AB against a RH pitcher and I am bring Brown in to pinch hit for him.

Right handed pitcher = Jake Brown
Lefty pitcher = Not Jake Brown
