To come back next season who would it be? I would put it 1) Smart 2) Watford 3) Emmitt. Losing both starting guards would almost guarantee a rebuild next season unless one of the newcomers really came on quickly. Trendon is #2 for me because he is the only person I could see running the 5 looking at the roster as of now. Would love to have Emmitt back as well but I see the other two as more important.

Emmitt but of those 3 Smart should absolutely return.

How does this stuff effect Wade and recruiting? If it doesn't drag out and he is retained then we probably land Cisse and/or Anselem. One of those would likely be your 5. If you get both then your 5 is definitely taken care of. I'd say Watford. Year 2 should be a big jump. Cam Thomas will be a much better scorer than Smart and we should have a true point. Next year could be really good if this stuff from the documentary blows over quickly.

I think it’s a toss up between Emmitt and Watford. I’d take Watford because he has a chance to be really awesome next year. However Emmitt gives you a junkyard mentality that is hard to replicate.

Could care less about Smart. Very disappointing year, imo.

Probably Watford. He’s a very good scorer inside, a natural. Williams would be second IMO but I think he may be able to be replaced with someone like LeBlanc.

I know you know hoops, but I'd be hard pressed to call his season a disappointment. Waters spoiled us bc we havent had a true pg like him in 20+ years.

Smart progressed very nicely as the season went on.

Stuff from the Documentary has already Blown Over. This is all of the stuff from last year. It is just now that the public is seeing it. Nothing new at all!

Wow, I actually gave an upvote to the guy that landed LSU on that devastating probation in the late 90's. It's Watford, and it really isn't that tough a decision.

you can keep saying Smart was disappointing but he had the second best Assist/TO ratio among starting PGs in the SEC (according to one of the ESPN commentators on one of the last games of the year) and I fact checked myself and he had 70 TOs while most had almost 100. He also shot 43% from 3 since Vandy. But okay.

Smart-Because EVERYTHING starts at the top. Offense/Defense. As the guards go, so goes your team. I can't recall a single championship team without a competent guard. Smart showed what he is capable of against Tenn. Give me that player, and I'll take my chances.

Even though Watford is by far the better player, I would pick Williams. We need his toughness and while they are talented, it takes incoming players a while to adjust to how
physical college basketball is. Just look at the difference in Williams and Days from their freshmen years.
