Lol no. 10-2 was the expectation of us true believers before the season.

Holding serve doesn't get an extension

I honestly think Coach O has done a very good job this year. But, you can't extend him with the offensive output this season and last. IMO, he's going to have to show some progress in that area first. I don't see other schools coming after him, mainly because of his age but also it's tough to evaluate last season becaise of the soft schedule. He's basically given LSU one season that considered can be considered a success for given the expectations of the program. Is that fair to him? No it's not, but that's the reality of the situation of being the head coach of a top 10 program.

No extension no matter what we do. An extension will only hook LSU for a bad situation if they have to fire O.

That’s just as stupid as saying fire him if we lose. Winning this game should absolutely not determine an extension.

I'll say again, Clay Helton went 11-3 last year. Now look at them.

Look, you can extend Orgeron for another 30 years. Just don't increase the buyout.

No.

I am neither an O hater or pumper. I hope he does great and creates a Nick like dynasty.

But it is too soon in his contract to talk extension, and the O hate has no one looking to steal him.

I hope after next year he deserves an extension with raise.

Goodness. The LSU fanbase more power than a Sith Lord. We can influence all kinds of shite, even what other schools choose to do with their program.

We cant afford to lose O to one of those other schools chasing him with contract offers.

If he wins hardware next year I’m all for a possible short term extension. Let’s don’t get in the bind we did with les.

Why are people so set on giving an extension?

What is the rush? We could still regress next season. What is this infatuation with an extension about?

Why not let his contract play out?

I’d bet good money the vast majority of posters clamoring for an extension have claimed for years that the extension given to Miles was a major blunder and hurt the program by keeping him around longer than we should have.

It is quite remarkable

I vote neither.

The only thing he's earned is a little more time... time to see if he improves the offense, the staff, and recruiting.

And the time remaining is enough for that. Then we can cross that bridge.

He certainly hasn't earned an extension. He damn sure doesn't deserve to be fired.

Plus, in both those situations I want Alleva gone first.

Well someone doesn’t remember all the national sports writers and their SEC predictions or watch ESPN!?

Name one that picked LSU #2 in West with outside chances at the big 4.

They all had us bumping our arse on the bottom with Arkansas.

I can’t think of a coach, writer, or network that gave O love, can you?

No, but that's not what you said. You said other schools won't come after him because of "the O hate." ADs around the country to care about that.
