If we win, give Ed the extension. Don’t if we lose.

If you would’ve told me we finish 10-2 (6-2) this year I would’ve thought you were on crack. This game is huge for our season and goals (still playoff potential if chaos happens).

If we lose and the offense looks horrible, nobody needs to talk about extending O until the results of next season play out.

How about we not base the next 3-4 years of the program on one game?

quote:

O until the results of next season play out.

When this happens extensions should be discussed.

No extension needed regardless of a win tonight

Why are people so set on giving an extension?

What is the rush? We could still regress next season. What is this infatuation with an extension about?

Why not let his contract play out?

I think he should get an extension irregardless of the outcome. It has been a great year. Let's lock him up because teams are going to start knocking on his door.

Like Miles, he has no other options. Maybe after next year

Agree. Extension would lead to ineptitude right now. Make him earn it by having 2 or 3 great seasons in a row.

At minimum if LSU loses due to continued offensive impotence, the OC must be fired.

Nothing that happens this year short of miraculously getting in and winning the playoff, should get O and extension.

Why give an extension to a guy that has his dream job and no other major school would want??

Or you know even if we win the OC should be replaced. We have our worst offensive stats in 2 decades this season. Doesn't make sense to consider keeping the same OC

“Irregardless” is a redundant word. The word is “regardless.” You don’t need “ir-“ because that means “without” and you already have “-less”, which means “without.”

Not surprised you’d use that word since your opinion is a bad one. There’s no need to extend Orgeron. Who is going to come get him? Where is he going to go? And recruiting will not suffer by waiting a year.

Here is an example of your quintessential sunshine pumper( aka positiger). Not sure if delusional, naive or just dumb is more appropriate

Way too early to be thinking extensions unless we're talking about Aranda. Let's watch another year with O. If he at least matches this year's performance, don't extend him again and depending on the offensive numbers, seriously evaluate Coach Ensminger (and I wouldn't be upset if he decided to step down after this season).

No one is knocking down the door to hire Coach O away but if he can deliver a playoff appearance next year, THEN you start having extension talks.
