It’s not silly because it is a possibility.
Would we prefer that we were Texas A&M, who, even if they win out, have a negligible chance to even win the conference. If we win out, we are guaranteed to win the conference.
I agree that it is not the MOST LIKELY outcome, but it is one possible outcome - one in which our beloved Tigers are in full control!

Depends on other team’s records in other x conferences. Went to the BCS championship in 07. Why not the playoffs. Went in as 1 of 2. 1 of 4 isn’t a far stretch.

Only way is if we beat an undefeated UT in the SEC title game. If UT lost to Georgia and was sitting at 11-1, we could never jump them.
