Do you think the NCAA will start the 6-8 team playoff conversations? Clemson can and will most likely go undefeated, and when that happens there is no one that could convince me that they have a better team than LSU. That schedule is a complete joke!

If they beat us at home, what’s your beef?

If we beat Alabama we’ll have to beat Georgia again, and then probably play Alabama again in the playoff.

Sweet.

You’re right I guess, still can’t believe this team lost to UF.

Well it would bring up some interesting discussions

If LSU loses by 2 or 3 and then Alabama beats the life out of Clemson and Michigan by 25 plus points each then it will make people question a lot of things about how teams are selected

*just using Clemson and Michigan as random examples

Nope -- UF going to beat UGA, so we're going to take on UF for some sweet revengue (unless UK beats UGA, then UK)

Bama won't get in over a 1 loss conference champion if that occurs (Texas, OU, Michigan, Ohio State, Wazzou)

Better scenario is LSU beats Bama, wins out, but Bama gets in over LSU because of Bama Privilege.

The stated reason would be that their loss was better than LSU's.

That might actually get some traction.

If Bama somehow gets left our, you can bet the field would be expanded before the next season.

Lost to Mullen.

Not complaining about coaching staff, but one of Les' best traits was that he owned Mullen's arse.

Wouldn't mind Orgeron developing that trait since he's going to have to go up against him at Florida.

We beat Bama at their home and they decided Bama deserved another chance when there were only TWO teams in the picture.

I think the Florida loss precludes us from grabbing one of the last spots if we lose to Bama though.

No. Four is enough. Do you even remember the 8th ranked team from three years ago without looking it up?

No way a 1 loss SEC champion gets left out.

No. If Bama gets left out in a similar situation, then yes. Two times, they weren't good enough to win their conference, weren't even good enough to win their division, and their reward was a chance at a national championship.

Shouldn't have lost to UF. Win that game, lose to Alabama, and we're in the playoffs.

Right

This is essentially going to be a playoff game for Bama

I joke about them backing in and getting the first round bye but I don't think there will be room for that this year. If there is a one loss SEC champion they will get in over Bama this year

Texas and Ohio St would be the only teams that would get in over Bama if each had 1 loss. NCAA and the media cant wait to get Texas back in the title hunt. The media would run with the storyline about Meyer being suspended and coming back. LSU will have to win out to have a chance, no matter how hard the schedule has been.
