I like Aranda but people are irrational about him. We should do everything we can to keep as DC, but there is no evidence he would be a good head coach or even wants to be.

Expecting FKing and Alleva to pull the plug on O at this point to promote Aranda is myopic. It's just not going to happen, even if in theory it's not the worst idea in the world. They will just say hey he's 24-9 that's pretty good yaw yaw.

Maybe he doesn't want to be a HC. Like most other coaches, though, he probably does have higher aspirations.
He'd be better than O in any case. That's not even debatable.

As a head coach, it’s certainly debatable. There have been far higher rated assistant coaches than Aranda that failed miserably as head coaches.

You get lost. Go start more fake news. Arranda is the best defensive coordinator in the nation. Ask anyone at any school that isn’t our rival and they will say he is the best in the country. If he’s not a good coach then who is coaching our team? Orgeron doesn’t know shite about the X’s and O’s. Literally just pumps people up and listens to what his coordinators tell him. He’s more of a public figure than a coach or strategist

As a program, if our coaches are not wanted elsewhere each year then we aren’t going in the right direction. This board bitches b/c Steve E wouldn’t have a coordinator job at any school in America and our DC will be a hot name this year for a head coaching job. Which do you guys want?

Honestly it wouldn't be the worst thing ever as I think next year is O's last and it would be easier to get a good coach to come in with no strings like having to retain certain staff. I'm really tired of trying to hold on to Miles's previous staff for dear life, seems unprecedentedly stupid and arrogant. Like Alleva wants to hire himself as head coach.

LSU needs a complete coaching refresh. I like aranda but LSU doesn’t need to pay 2.5m for an assistant.
