I was thinking about the amount of players that probably get paid, it has to be an unreal amount. Smart was the #35 player in the country in his class. You know Wade has plenty of dirt in other coaches around the country. I believe this is why you haven’t heard too much from other coaches on the matter.

Everyone assumes that UK was who we were competeing with on Smart. I’m sure Wade has an idea how much they were offering him.

IMO, if the NCAA came in and tried to give him the show clause, he would sing like a bird. I don’t blame him one bit. To win and win consistently on the power 5 level you have to compete with the blue bloods. The only way to do that is play the same recruiting games they play.

He’d have to have evidence to back up his claims. Without that, it’d be useless.

Plus he’s a young guy and I’m sure wants to coach again, he could kiss that goodbye if he snitched on the world.

I understand where you’re coming from though. Just think he’ll take whatever potentially comes down on him like a man and move on to the next stop.

I'd love to see him burn it all to the fricking ground.

Well he’s going down easy now. Ducking from the NCAA isn’t going down with a fight. It’s tucking your tail and running.

AND keep his job at LSU, even if he's given a show cause. Re-hire him the day it ends if that happens.

When he retires from coaching in 35 years, he can be governor.

He's not ducking the NCAA. He's being smart right now and picking his battles. Dealing with FBI is more important for obvious reasons.

I think the NCAA will dive head first into this (just like the DOJ is currently doing with the admissions scandal). Wade will probably keep quiet because he is young and can survive this. WW will probably be an assistant in the NBA or in Europe for a few years and then return to the NCAA. If he turns "state's evidence," he will probably harm his chances of returning in the future (the nobody likes a rat philosophy).

Wait. What? Since when is anything but a hunch not enough to ruin someone's career?

Actually you can leave the info on a tip line and then it’s up to the ncaa to investigate it. Never heard of it until “paid to play Mississippi”

no he wouldn't, because he'd never coach again at the college level.

If he goes that route he’ll end up coaching at Liberty University, if he’s lucky. Even Hugh Freeze and Ole Miss had more class than that. I hope he doesn’t go that route. If he does, like Phil Leatardo said, my estimation of him as a man will plummet. You play that game and appreciate the risks involved. Hopefully he has more class and integrity than that.

Even if Wade had the goods to bring everything down to its knees, do you really think think he would do that with the knowledge he is gonna get blackballed for life?

The problem is he's on tape while the blue bloods let others do the work. I sure hope another Coach gets called out soon
