If he came to LSU the initial judgement would never have been overturned.

We, as a fanbase, not individuals, always decide which rules are OK to break and which are not based on whether or how it affects us.
If you don't believe me, look at basketball.
How will tRant and LSU fans react if one of LSU's basketball signees, who signed a contract with not one but two NBA teams, is ruled ineligible and LSU sues for an injunction with a favorable alumni judge and wins? That will be the answer to your question.
Personally, I like neither. I also understand how teams trying to claw their way into competitiveness feel they have to do the same things other teams do.

The media would nuke BR if it happened.

I mean there is a portion of the LSU fan base that does not want RJ Luis to get eligibility because of the implications that would have on the integrity of the game and Luis never put did anything to place the integrity of the sport in jeopardy while playing. He just wants to come back to college.
I firmly believe that while a decent amount of LSU fans would have defended him, it would not be as uniform as the TT fanbase and plenty of LSU fans would have called it out. I have not seen a single TT fan say they are against it.
They actually claim everyone else is being crazy. I even saw some say that everyone else is evil because of the mental stress they are putting on Sorsby. By that logic, we shouldn't convict a murderer because that will cause them mental stress...

Don’t you think most of this board would be like Tech fans and defending everything?
I can't see myself defending someone that bet against his team at times bc you don't know what that player may have done during a game that possibly contributed to a team loss.

Yes, but we would still be wrong
