Hail to the Chief!

We’re in a mission to retread every LSU DC this past two decades. If Muschamp is fired, people will push for Boom.

Still mind boggling how Chavis had exceptional defensive units and talent in the mid to late 90’s at Tennessee

Doug Mallory is just an analyst with the falcons. He should be available. Boom

I'd like to see Chief be the DC for Mike Leach at MSU. That pairing would be interesting to see play out in the SEC.

Boom would be a good hire

He checks the boxes for “yells a lot” and he runs the 4-3 base defense.
But he couldn’t bring pressure on Finley with our OL so what does that tell you.

I liked chavis. Defense got much better under his tenure.
His defense kept us in the game in that BCS debacle and never quit. Might be long in the tooth but still competent.

Dude, Chavis was VERY successful here.
He ran a simple defense that was VERY sound, and took advantage of elite athleticism.

Look at the talent he had to work with. He put together one of the best defenses college football has ever seen in 2011 and they look like they just played base defense all year.

He had a shite ton of NFL talent including some Pro Bowl DL.
