Why would LSU fans get upset when an LSU fan points out that 10 wins this season would be better than 3 of the 5 Saban years and as good as another year under Saban. So as good or better than 4 of the 5 Saban years and better than Sabans last year?

An extra regular season game was added after the Saban years. 10 wins now is the equivalent of 9 wins back then.

I would get upset if it were worse.

10 is not the same as 9 because you actually still have to win the 10th

Reasonable criticism. Saban failed to convince a marginal NFL QB/Dentist to return, and was stuck with a safety and a redshirt freshman phenom who wasn't ready.

Still, on his worst day, he has more coaching acumen in his pinky nail than Corch Oh.

With a ridiculous advantage in talent, Saban has been nearly unbeatable

Saban was never going to do at LSU what he has done at Bama. He wasn't going to do at Michigan state what he did at LSU.

He would have won at LSU but not 12 games a year.

He's also doing it with an extra game. Only played 11 regular season back then.

Because you are attempting to draw a conclusion from these stats that is completely false. Nobody is mad that you post this stats. People just disagree with the conclusion you are attempting to draw from them (as any logical and sane person would). It takes a special human being to look at these stats in context and come to the conclusion that Orgeron is anywhere near the coach that Saban is.

He has unwavering support at Bama.

LSU fans booed during the Oregon St game immediately off the national championship.

We are just not the program that Bama is

Because you're trying to imply that O is as good as saban and that is not anywhere near being true.

You are correct in that lsu will have more wins etc. but it's just not releveant. Lsu won a title under saban. There's a really good chance they won't even win the sec under O.

Also, comparing 2017 with 1999-2004 has the same relevancy as comparing 2017 with 1968, or 1986, or 1958. Or any other year. It's beyond irrelevant.

Do you want to explain to us the relevance of this fact and what your overall point is? I could use a chuckle

I think the point is that O could end up being as good a coach at LSU as Saben. Obviously no one knows the answer to that at this time. Only time will tell.So far so good. i LIKE WHAT I AM SEEING ON THE FEILD AND THE DIRECTION THE PROGRAM HAS TAKEN.

So of Sabans 5 years at LSU which season can I refer to? His last season was 9-3, can I reference that one or should I skip that one and only consider his second to last season because it's the only one where he lost less than 3 games?

Saban, as much as we dislike him now, is one of if not the best college football coaches ever.

NO doubt that saben is the greatest recruiter in the history of college football. But O just seems a great fit for LSU ( even if he wasn't so good back in those days at Ole MIss, this ain't Ole Miss). Best to take a wait and see approach. So far so good with Coach O.

By the way, if you think I'm saying Oregeron is better than Saban based on his 7-3 start this year I'm a little worried about you.
