If O was let go, would any major program hire him as head coach?

With an NC, you would think college programs would be lining up to hire him if the O haters get their way.
But, I think this season and the events of this year would make it unlikely that any top major program would hire him as head coach.

Do you consider Northwestern State a premier program?

You are not the first person I've heard express this sentiment.
Which is odd, considering that just last year he was the head coach of a team that had perhaps the greatest season of college football.
If this is a common attitude, it would be unprecedented.

This is only the 100th time this question has been asked on this board.

He’s a national championship head coach. There aren’t many of those out there. He would get phone calls.
It depends on what you want to call major programs though. Would Texas hire him? Probably not. Would a team like Nebraska hire him? Absolutely.

Absolutely. He’s 46-11 with a national championship as an interim/head coach the last 7 years between USC and LSU.
Why wouldn’t he get a job? How many other coaches out there can boast that record at the major college level that would be available?

No way Nebraska would hire Orgeron!
At best he’d go back to DL in the NFL

Probably would. He already does well recruiting in the state and would have strong recruiting ties in the larger region.

Syracuse wouldn't even give him an interview before "The Search" hired him.

They would have to caption his comments.

Are you just not counting this year?

They definitely wouldn’t have when we hired him. They probably still wouldn’t even after the NC.

So Nebraska wouldn’t hire a national champion coach of the year? Are you retarded? Do they allow you to live unassisted?

Were big programs lining up for Coker or Chizik? Because that’s the situation.

Texas could and would do worse than Orgeron. I think they’re too good to hire someone like O and they would frick it up again.
