Completely incorrect. Linebacker development was one of the lone bright spots of that team. Most people wanted, and expected, Baker to be retained.

You could've found posts that wanted to bench Crews at some point so that's not an accurate metric.
Baker's stock rose with every play Damone Clark made in '21. He was pretty well thought of IIRC.

Once the defense started applying pressure and playing better after the bye week, we didn't hate the defensive coaches as much lol.

Your memory failed you on this one. Damone Clark was a Butkus finalist in 2021 and most of us recognized Baker played a major part in that.
