I don't know of that would happen but we surely wouldn't take a set back

Jimbo is not a perfect coach. Yeah, he lost to Wake Forest. What was that, his 2nd year? Saban lost to UL Monroe in his first year...got drilled by Utah in the Sugar Bowl, etc. It happens.
So they get a pass but Les doesn't? Plus Jimbo had been the oc since 2007. It's not like he hadn't had years to build up his offense, That shat the bed while he was oc and head coach against inferior opponents.

If we can't physically over power and out talent a team, we're dead in the water. (As we have all just seen the last two weeks)..............................
Jimbo was a terrific qb coach and oc. His play calling was always well balanced. Wasn't flashy but got the job done.

Jimbo would be the first coach I would want!

Soooo Florida State has lost to Clemson and Georgia Tech this year. That was Georgia Tech's only win this year in the ACC by the way. Think our fan base accepts that? Again, he has had similar results to Miles against much easier schedules. If LSU were in the ACC we would be winning that conference at least every other year with Miles. If we want someone that is going to come in and do better than Miles, it won't be easy. and I am to the point where I am ready for a change as well, I am just realistic and have been through the bad years of LSU football......careful what we wish for.......they can happen again.

In an instant, but no way he comes to LSU from FSU. I know we're speaking hypothetically, but he's got Florida as a base and he coaches in a much easier conference which means easier path to the national championship. Plus FSU can pay him just as much as we can.

Lol FSU lost to GT on a freak field goal.

Oh for frick's sake. We got our shite pushed in by fricking Arkansas. SYRACUSE, the worst ACC team, took us to the fricking wire. They have lost 7 games straight.
And you think LSU would run the table in the ACC conference?

Yeah, no way he leaves.

Where did I say that?
I said since Miles has been at LSU we would probably have won the ACC every other year or half the time. He played in the SEC Championship about one out of every 3 years, you think the ACC is on par with the SEC over that time frame?

How so?
Recruiting base is better, he has already won a championship so he has serious job security, etc.

LSU would pony up, money speaks volumes

Why would Jimbo come to LSU? Seriously think about this.
Would you make a lateral move to a job that had a much higher degree of difficulty? He has it made where he is. He already makes more than Les Miles.
LSU would have to shell out a huge salary, which ultimately would be thrown back in his face by the fanbase every time we have a 3 and out.

You're kind of pulling stuff out of nowhere now. All I know is what Jimbo has done when he is in control and it's pretty damn good. Also, he developed some of our best QBs at LSU (Rohan, Mauck, JaMarcus). Hell, even Booty made All-SEC under Jimbo. I know you weren't knocking his QB development, I'm just saying it because it's very important to a program like LSU's.
We will always be fans and overreact when we lose to certain opponents, but our results under Jimbo were pretty damn good. Every coach has some flaws and he has his, but he also brings a lot of good things to the table.

All of this is completely true. And maybe he would laugh and say "no thanks." But you never know...
