No.
We need touchdowns and not field goals to beat Bama

Only thing I would is say is they would need to cash in a few of those field goals for touchdowns. Bama is beatable.

Agreed..... Plus we HAVE TO get pressure on the Bama qb with just our DL... If we don't no matter how well we play in other areas may not matter..........

if you forget the first two drives, because the score would be 14-0

But we won by 20.

I watched the replay today. Toward the end of the 3rd quarter, Nessler or Danielson said we had only gained 5 yards in the quarter. I assume that was true up to the point.

Not gonna beat Bama that way.

Does LSU have to pressure him or just smother his receivers so that he has nowhere to go with the ball?

I'm confused by some of the talk about getting TD's vs FG's. We put 36 on GA... convert some of those FG to TD's and we are scoring 45+ points? Do we think we are going to hang 45+ on Saban? That doesn't seem realistic. If we can put 36 on Bama through any means available I'd be impressed.

If LSU can score over 40, they might win.

If Tua is 100%, no defense in college football will stop him.

If there's a defense that could though, it's this one. especially at home.

TBH, I'm not expecting Tua to have a big game. I don't think Bama needs him to have a big game. It's pretty apparent that UF and UGA both ran the ball well against us when they were in heavy formations. I expect we'll see a lot of this from Bama.

Yes. Yes, you definitely can. If LSU plays as good as they did against UGA, and Bama plays as bad as UGA did, you can definitely beat us.

Yep - not chunking the ball 40 yards downfield and having a WR about 10 yards pass the DB then easily run under the ball

We would need to stop the RB runs better, but otherwise, yes, I think we could win.

[quote]have to beat them during the season, then win the SECCG for the right to rematch them in the playoff[/quote. Not if we are SEC CHAMPS and remaining unbeaten win out. They couldn’t put a one loss bama who is not sec champs over Ohio St, Notre Dame, Clemson unbeaten. And SEC CHAMPS who won a head to head against them.
