You guys are crazy with this 3.5 or 7 point margin of victory. Either you are a Tulane troll or just stupid. Lsu just blew out a Big 10 contender. They would do the same thing or worse to Tulane.

Line would be LSU -9.5

And id expect the Tigers to cover pretty easy.

Well Tulane beat southern Cal and tulane also beat up Kansas state this season the same team that beat up Tcu and Tcu is in the final vs Georgia so im not so sure Tigers would go on top. Tulane can play with the bigger teams

And Kansas state got destroyed by bama who LSU beat so then LSU would destroy Tulane.

What would the point spread be?

lsu would be favored. but Tulane has a top 20 team this year no doubt about it. I was disappointed in their defense yesterday but they were facing the heisman winning qb. they would make things difficult for our offense

but i to tulane. hell of a season and what a great job by their coach

Do you realize how bad the Big Ten West is? The top half of the AAC could probably hang in that division. And Purdue was depleted for the Citrus Bowl.

Tulane beat the actual Big 12 champion on the road. LSU wouldn't beat them like they did Purdue.

I'd say LSU by 10-14. On the other hand, does the LSU team that showed up to College Station (who also lost to App State) show up or the one who took down Bama? Definitely have to take that into consideration.

LSU -3. Don't discount motivation. That was Tulane's Super Bowl. They wanted it more and were thrilled to be there while USC believed they should be in the playoffs. It would be more of a rivalry game with LA bragging rights if LSU played. But would still be a close game. I think our defense with that rest would have been the difference.

I want to know how a team that won 2 games last year is this year's Cotton Bowl winner and beating a team that many thought should be in the playoffs...not me, but some.
Did they have a major influx of key portal guys come in and get really really great coaching?
That is hard to do in a place like Tulane!

Tulane was only a 1.5 pt underdog against USC at a neutral site. They not only covered but showed they can win outright against bigger, faster, high profile opponents.

Regardless of what you believe the outcome would be, playing in New Orleans, the line would have LSU favored by no more than 5-7 pts.

LSU -8

LSU plays defense and USC does not. Tulane would score a bit but LSU's offense would give them fits. Final score LSU 48-24
