Les wasn't very successful starting on 01/09/12. It boggles my mind though how many fans forget how successful he was before that point which is how he got to stay the head coach here for so long in the first place.
It was definitely time to part ways and I'm happy we have some new faces in the organization but c'mon

Cherry pick? Lmfao win pct, sec win pct, championship win pct. those are cherry picked coaching stats? Meanwhile volume stats comparing a coach who was here for 13 years with one who was here for 5 isn't cherry picking. Wow like I said you'll say anything. Sorry you're wrong bro. Btw putting words in my mouth doesn't change facts.

Cherry picked.
And I won't even get into how worse the sec was during Saban's tenure.
How many sec programs won a national title from 2000-2004?
How many sec programs won national title from 2005- 2015.
Also miles has more national titles at lsu than Saban.
Miles has a bcs and ap national title.
Posted on 4/11/17 at 10:53 pm to Madking
Saban lost less than 3 games once.
Only an idiot would claim his tenure was better.
I agree saban was telling better coach and wouldve done far better than what miles did.

Please. Go ahead.

Saban doesnt have an appointment title as lsu. Miles does.

You havent owned shite. Youre literally the 2nd dumbest poster on here.
I'm sorry facts about miles makes your vag bleed.
The facts that you dont know what the ap national title is further let's me know you're football ignorant.
My niece knows more football than you.
Which one of these is a lie?
Miles tenure at lsu
#1 win % in lsu history
#1 ooc win % in lsu history
7th best win % in sec history
#1 ooc win % in sec history
As many top 5 finishes as Saban, Mac , and Dietzel combined.
Most top 25 finishes in lsu history.
Most top 20 finishes in lsu history.
Most top 15 finishes in lsu history.
Most top 10 finishes in lsu history.
Most top 5 finishes in lsu history.
No program beat more ranked teams than lsu.
No program was ranked in the top 25 more week.
Those are facts and they hurt your heart. Youre pathetic little guy that cant stand miles having the most successful tenure in lsu history.
I'm done with you because you've proven to now know shite about football.

They surely don't, those are volume stats. It's funny Mr. Fact's go to is subjective opinion rankings over actual numbers lol, they don't prove a thing. There are no trophies for top 25 finishes and I noticed you didn't put his final rankings compared to his pre season rankings. Why? Because they show he underachieved about 75% of the time. Win pct vs top 10 and top 5 opponents,SEC win pct and of course what matters, Sec and national titles all go to Saban. Those are the facts so you can worship your rent a win pct and your 10 win trophies ( that don't exist) and were accumulated because he played a longer schedule all you want. Those things don't mean shite and just like you are irrelevant.

Just to be clear since you love opinion polls and subjective rankings so much let's compare.
Saban
Where his teams started compared to where they finished 60% of the time his teams improved their ranking from start to finish.
Record vs top 25 - 58%
Vs top 10 - 50%
Vs top 5 -50%
Les Miles teams finished higher than they started 44% of the time
Record vs top 25 - 74%
Vs top 10 - 47%
Vs top 5 - 42%
So while in fact Miles had a better record vs teams ranked 11 to 25 all the other numbers including your favorite, opinion poll rankings, Saban out preformed Miles while at LSU. In fact Miles wasn't even .500 in any of those measurables. If you omit the extra rent a win per season which adds up to 11 games Saban outperformed Miles in pretty much every way. So yes you can make an outside argument for Miles but there's noway you can say without a doubt his tenure was better than Sabans.

You do realize that 2011-2015 had more top 15 finishes than Sabans tenure, right?
This stretch was one of the most miserable in LSU history.....and IDGAF about the wins and losses. Miles left so much on the table, made so many mistakes, underachieved in so many ways, created so many headscratching moments, dragged out his demise to the nth degree, provided infinite fodder forthe rant, and generally tortured the fans unmercifully with his ineptitude on the field.
He basically killed whatever good will he had built in his first 6 years .

This might be the dumbest thing I've ever seen posted on here.
What youre saying is a coach that can win 1 national title in 4 years, but go winless in the other 3 years and have a better tenure than someone that wins 1 national title in 8 years but he also wins 10 games in the 7 other years.
I tried to let you come to that conclusion yourself but it's clear im dealing with a double digit iq with you.
Only a dumbass person would classify a 5 year tenure with 2 top 15 finishes better than a miles tenure.
Thats my last post in this thread.

This was a quote (or close to it) on ESPN two seasons ago, when everyone thought he was going to be fired if he lost the last game
I don't think this was the consensus. Also, you have to admit that 2016 hurt his image.
The truth is that Miles' age isn't attractive in a program building/rebuilding situation. That leaves few jobs that he'd be considered for. Add the reality that he is not personally going to bring a tactical advantage on the offensive or defensive side of the ball, the population of jobs he'd be a fit for is very few.
