Quite the turnaround after starting his career 10-25 at Ole Miss.

2013: 6-2 as USC interim coach

2016: 6-2 as LSU interim coach

2017: 9-3 as LSU head coach, with Citrus Bowl vs ND upcoming on Jan 1st.

I didn't really care about his time at ole miss.

Neither should any other Lsu fan.
It's irrelevant.

I'm just just curious, why is it relevant?

Why do you care about something that happened 10 years ago to a bottom dwelling sec school?
I know y'all hate the man, but you seriously need to quit being the little bitches you are and GYFOIT.

Ole Miss went to a Cotton Bowl in the immediate years in front of Orgeron and following Orgeron. They weren't "bottom dwellers". Well, they were when O coached them.

Because it was the only other time he was a permanent head coach? It doesn't mean he can never improve and he is forever defined by his time there. He pretty clearly has improved at least a little bit. But you're being purposely ignorant if you think it's wholly irrelevant. shite, some of this issues he had at Ole Miss manifested at the beginning of this year.

LOL
They've always been bottom dwellers.
Quit kidding yourself.

It's a sad fricking day when a lsu fan will prop ole miss for sake of slamming coach.
Pathetic.

I agree. We should have interviewed Sylvester Croome as well.

A relatively positive thread about Coach O, yeah this'll go over well.

What the frick are you talking about? He posted facts about Ole Miss and that's your reaction? frick Ole Miss. But they weren't some kind of perennial doormat when O was hired there, nor were they immediately after his firing.

LSU’s coach getting to .500 is a positive? Geez, we’ve fallen off.

It’s relevant because some LSU fans want to know what his capabilities are when running his own program as a head coach.

Iterim coaching doesn’t satisfy people like me because that is actually the irrelevant part.

I have no idea what his program looks like long term.

I don’t know what his vision is, his off season conditioning, his disciplinary style, his ability to manage staff, his ability to create a roster that meets his vision, his ability to create and sustain a successful program.

I had zero evidence of that save for the only time he ever ran his own program.

Why is that so difficult for people like you to understand that people like me want a head coach that has shown he can run a successful program year end and year out?

Why are you content to ignore the only piece of evidence regarding that in favor of , well, nothing ?

It’s amazing he got this job.

There’s a reason why he got the interim tag.

I'm talking about ole miss was 4-7 year before he took over.
Between 2003-2006 they ranked avg 10th in the sec in recruiting and mid 30's in the nation.

Yes ole miss is the fricking doormat of the SEC right in front of vandy, U.K. and miss state
The disdain for this guy who has opp to win 10 games in his first year is embarrassing.
You O haters are mental fricking midgets.

Keep in mind, personally I don't love the guy. I don't hate him either.
I just think the hate he gets on this site is beyond pathetic.

I mean, an O pumper brought up his time at Ole Miss in the 1st response in the thread.
