Since Troy, UAB, and Monroe keep being brought up and compared to one another we should definitely expect to win the West next year correct?

You have to be a complete idiot if you think that ULM had more talent than even a pre-Saban Bama team...Saban and his team just fricked up, much like O did against Troy. shite happens, but it doesn't have to happen twice.

Because many people are trying to redefine what success as LSU's head coach means

No they aren't idiot. They see that a first year coach with a first year OC implementing a new system with the team playing well over 30 freshmen having the opportunity to finish in the top 10 is not as horrible as idiots like you try to convince them it is.

quote:

We fired our last coach for 9-3 type seasons.

He was fired because he was outcoached on multiple occasions, couldn't figure out what a game clock's purpose was and promised his boss he would change and didn't. But, keep making shite up and posting it as fact.

quote:

The goal posts are constantly moving

Sure, in your feeble mind.

quote:

Nobody wants him to fail, but there is a group of fans that want to be sure that if he fails LSU takes quick action and does not allow a segment of the fan base to constantly lower expectations so that O meets them just because they like the guy.

You are so full of shite it is hilarious. I hope you never quit posting on this board !!!

quote:

We were told that Orgeron was hired because it was believed that he could keep the recruiting classes together and immediately have LSU in playoff contention.

The first part is true. The second part is again, nothing less that laughable bullshite made up by you.

quote:

We were told that we are "too young" and were hampered by Miles' lack of recruiting on the OL. Then we were told that a new OC will take some lumps while implementing their offense.

All true. My concern besides these, was the putrid performance of the defense in those losses. The offense was some-what understandable. The defense sucked.

quote:

Now, it looks like we may have a new OC again next year

I haven't heard of Canada doing interviews, getting offers or accepting one. Where is he going?

quote:

which is sure to be followed by more excuses

Excuses about bullshite you are making up and trying to pass off as fact?

quote:

The bar will simply be lowered by some again next year to excuse the head coach because they like the guy

You NEVER miss an opportunity to make up ridiculous crap do you?

He can recruit but we really don’t know if he can attract good assistants.

He gave Hugh Freeze and Frank Wilson their first ever college coaching jobs. At LSU he has hired Pete Jenkins, Tommie Robinson, a Broyles Award finalist as OC, etc. Eaux's hiring prowess is probably as impressive as his recruiting ability.

All that matters is the current season and the plan for the future. Recruiting is what will define every coach. After all who pays $75 million / 10 years contract to a 6-6 coach?

Since comparing saban to orgeron LSU will win the west next season? comparing the two loses is laughable due to where lsu is as a program now as opposed to when saban took over. But I can't wait for O's championship.

Neither should any other Lsu fan.

how is it irrelevant?

Maybe because in this decade he coaches at LSU?

Yep, signed sealed and delivered. It's over. No hope for this class, even if it's the first week of December and LSU is chasing some 5-stars to join the class.

And Arden Keys replacement among many others.

Funny, you've chalked up a bowl win, 10 win season, and top 10 finish, but want to take the wait-and-see approach with the recruiting class. Convenient.

Ole Miss being a bottom dweller is a made up myth by some on here to fit a narrative.

They've always been bottom dwellers.
Quit kidding yourself.

You really have no idea about history, do you?

From 1953-1963 Ole Miss Finished 1st or 2nd in the SEC 8 times 5-1sts, 3-2nds, 2-3rds, 1-4th. Ranked in the top 12 9 times and the top 10 8 times, top 5 4 times.

It's a sad fricking day when a lsu fan will prop ole miss for sake of slamming coach.

Just as sad to try to present our historical rival as having always been a doormat in order to prop up our current coaches past record (which was only relevant during the hiring process, his current and future record are all that is relevant now).

How about we all just pull for O to hit it out of the park going forward and make our judgements based on his time at LSU as we go forward.

All you can point to with Saban is two embarrassing losses in 20+ years.

there is more than that. If the UTAH bowl game wasn't embarrassing the word doesn't exist.

Why they bring up the two Saban losses is because they also occurred in his first seasons and were to much worse teams than Troy.

LSU was a 3 win team when Saban took over.

Bama was a 6 win team when Saban took over.

The comparison between those teams and a 9-win LSU team is weak.

When a person uses the words "possible" or "possibly" it is not chalking up anything. You try to make shite up and distort facts even when they are evident in this very thread?

Damn sure don't want to. I would love to know who LSU is getting RIGHT NOW. The class won't be finalized until February 2018 though, in case you didn't know that either.

It was pretty evident though when the guy after Eaux eventually wound up going 0-8 SEC and was himself canned.

He rode the Eaux wave that wasn't given the chance to reach it's peak while he was still there.

Well he has is chance now with one of the most talented rosters in the country. If he doesn't step it up, his LSU teams will be just like his ole Miss ones.
