What some of you completely forget is that to make it to and win the SEC; LSU would have beaten (today's ranks only) the #11 Ole Miss, #6 Alabama, AND either the #1 Georgia/#2 Tenn... Who would have more top 10 wins outside of other SEC teams? TCU maybe since they have the most wins against still ranked opponents this year. Also, the committee is more likely to leave the SEC out entirely than take the #2 SEC team AND leave out the SEC champion.

Big 10 - Only 1 can survive here unless the SEC is left out
Ohio ST - beats #16 Penn State and #4 Michigan
Michigan - beats #16 Penn State, #11 Illinois, and #2 Ohio State

Big 12 - TCU is the only option
TCU - #18 OKL, #19 Kan, #8 OK St, #17 Kst, Texas & Baylor

ACC - Clemson is the only option and they look weak
Clemson - #20 Wake Fst, #21 NC St, #22 Syracuse

Pac-12 Who knows...but they are all a mess. But I could see the committee desperately wanting to put USC in if they win out...

Let's say LSU beats Tennessee in SEC. I can see UGA going over LSU.

So LSU being the SECC and beating TN the team that beat UGA assuming your scenario, UGA would still pass over? I don’t think so.

No. We gladly take a Sugar Bowl bid while Georgia moves on.
Then we blow out someone in a Bowl game and the 2023 season starts to feel like a championship run.

Very very unlikely scenario that will look very different whether we beat alabama or not. Georgia/ Tenn game and some that we haven’t thought about will have to be played before your scenario comes into focus.

LSU would need help. Best realistic scenario would be

Oregon Pac12 Champ 11-2 (Loses to Utah then wins rematch)
Kansas St Big12 Champ 11-2
North Carolina ACC Champ 11-2 (Loses to Wake, beats Clemson)
Ohio St Big Ten Champ 13-0
LSU SEC Champ 11-2

1. Ohio St
2. LSU
3. Kansas St
4. Oregon

No point in really talking about it until after this week though.

IF LSU were to win out and beat UGA in SECCG, CFP would probably take 11-1 Tenn over 11-2 LSU who Tenn beat the crap out of.

In that scenario they certainly could, but not at the expense of the SEC Champion. I dare say they probably would even seed Tennessee higher in the Playoffs, but the fact remains that LSU would practically be almost CERTAINLY in the Playoffs as the SEC Champion.

this is the important part.

You want a rematch vs Tenn to try and avenge that loss

If we beat Alabama and Georgia, yes we would be in as a #4 team. But if you had 4 unbeaten teams, no we would not.
