Kiffin isn’t coming here.

We had a lot of fun as LSU football fans over the past quarter century. Unfortunately, NIL has changed the game and I see LSU wandering in the wilderness for about a decade going forward.

This and baseball being up sounds like you are describing the ‘90s

Move on to the next coach. I'm more than willing to take a chance at this point. When is the last time LSU took a chance on offense outside of Brady and Burrow? It's been fricking time.

First off he hasn't been that successful at OM. Secondly it's no longer that much easier to win here than it is there

Is what he did at Ole Miss going to be "doing it" here?

That's not what was said

What? In his 16 year career he has never played for anything of note. He has lost less than 3 games twice in his entire career. His most talented team ever lost to the coach we just fired.

It would be impossible for Kiffin to fail at LSU

That's two unlikely "ifs" in one question. I doubt #1 happens, but if it does, I really doubt #2 happens.

See one of these things is the problem of why Lane probably won’t come. LSU fans call for a coaches head if he has a couple of 8-9 win seasons. Ole Miss gives you a raise and the fans love you if you do that.

What has LSU done over the last 30 days that leads you to believe Kiffin would come here with UF ready to back the money truck up to his house?

Regardless of who is hired, next contract should be a 5yr contract w/ 3 guaranteed and 2 as option years where either party can decide to walk away after year 3, 4 or 5. Built in flexibility for both parties if the partnership is not meeting either’s expectations.

No one is saying that. But a good coach may pass if he perceives, right or wrong, that LSU doesn’t live up to their end of the contract.

It’s an uncomfortable thought but it could very well play out like this over the next decade

That’s a laughably naive take.

While I agree he’s more likely to succeed here than fail, to say its impossible is downright idiotic.
