Teams showed a willingness to adapt their schemes and system to those guys and that hadn’t been done before, so I think that’s why people felt that way. Those guy’s games didn’t fit the traditional pro style offenses and they would have struggled having success in them.

We all want to believe Howard is the future, a can't miss QB, but what if he's not? There are no guarantees, but if Nuss does not transfer, he should have just as much of a shot next year to start. But, BK sees everything in practice, so just have to trust his judgement...

I don’t see him increasing his draft grade if he stays. The QB draft for next year will be better than this years draft. The pickings are pretty slim this year. He could probably be a 6-7th round pick at the position for a team trying to look a lot like Philadelphia. JD would work at QB in a Bill Walsh type west coast system.

The NFL is starving for QB talent and they would draft JD on potential alone. Also I don’t see how Richardson would get a higher grade than JD. It’s actually a good time for him to come out and not risk more injury before he gets to the league.

Danny Etling made a roster for a few years. He could throw the ball. The NFL is not looking for a qb with a below average arm that can't accurately complete a pass downfield. Maybe someone would take a late flier on him, but it would be a waste as he will never make a roster as a qb. I wish he would switch positions because I'd like to see him succeed.

He's not going pro. He wouldn't be in the Top 25 of most teams' QB boards.

and they are starving for qb talent because colleges are not putting out talented qbs anymore. They are putting out athletes that get by in college with athleticism without developing into an actual fundamentally sound qb. Once in the NFL, that athleticism alone no longer holds up. Some of the greatest qbs ever are/were not mobile. There is a lot more to being an NFL QB than being mobile.

I agree he’s better than Richardson. I actually think he will go pro and take his chances of where he is drafted.

I don’t see him having success at the next level as a QB either. I think he has the arm strength but he is not accurate enough. I’m just ready to move on and let Nuss or WH run the offense going forward.

Daniels graduated, correct? If so, he might just be tired of college football and ready to move on

Lol

He’s a 3rd-4th rd pick and will flirt with the top 100.

He is young for his grade too. He’s only 1 year older than Nussmeier in age.

In my humble opinion JD will never play pro ball unless he learns to catch the ball. Did you not see the uga linemen pick him up. He literally grabbed jd and picked his feet off the ground so he couldn’t reach the ground. He is t built for pro ball even if he had the ability when flushed from the pocket. On the other hand Nuss will make an nfl roster because of his ability to constantly look up the field for an open receiver and throw the ball.

Backup QB syndrome is hard to break. I’ve been guilty of it but I’ve beat it and am much more reliant on patterns and eye test and letting development happen as it fits.
