If it's true that we're hiring Corey Raymond does that mean we're keeping House?

I just don't see a new DC going along with "Here's your contract, and here's your new DB coach".

Only way it would make sense for both things to be true is if Raymond is brought in as a defensive analyst (if that's even a thing).

EDIT: For the record, I've been saying for the last 8 weeks that House needs to go.

I didn't intend for this post to sound like "I hope it means we're keeping House".

My intent was to sound like "Oh crap, does this mean we're keeping House??"

Not sure why this type of thing keeps getting posted. Defensive coordinators don’t generally hire their own staffs. They may have some input, but that’s it.

Kelly hired Kerry Cooks last year before he hired House.

yeaaaaaah if corey was brought back, I would think that's a way to make keeping House more palpable

sort of like hiring Ed with steele.

I don't see House being retained though, there's pretty much nothing you can point to as a reason to retaining him. Coordinating? Awful. Staffing? Awful. Recruiting? Nope.

Then again with Kelly's contract he really doesn't have to answer for much if he doesn't want to.

He quickly moved on from Polian last year who he was ultra close with.

Better hope they hire some really good analysts or other coaches around him. Corey Raymond is a shitty football coach.

There's a bunch of threads talking about it since he was "allowed to pursue other opportunities".

Why would we hire Raymond?
Wasn’t he part of the reason BK inherited the worst DB room we’ve had since Curley?

This is literally what BK did less than two years ago.

False, I actually have. My point is, he is not a good football coach. Aranda hired Busch when O let him hire someone, UF gave him some bullshite position, never but him in any way shape or form in charge of the defense. The guy is not a good coach, and judging by his recent firing at UF, can not recruit at a high level.

Ohh and yea so you know, I have coached multiple NFL players on all different levels, doesn't mean I should be coaching in the SEC.

LINK

Can’t recruit at a high level is hilarious.
Calling him a shitty coach is one of the dumbest takes this fan base can have.

You can not like him. I get it. But the dude has proved himself as one of the top DB coaches in the country. You just sound butt hurt

I respect your opinion, I am not butt hurt at all. I do not think he is a good x and o football coach, like not at all. He gets credit for MO, Tyrann, Reid, Simon, all those guys were here before him. Also, of all the guys you listed there, how many were coming to LSU no matter what? I think LSU can do better, much better than him.

You think they were all coming here before him? Just lining up at the door? Like they are now?

We are just turning talent down left and right aren’t we. Just flooded with top 100 players that want to be here.

Woah now. Never would I ever want Raymond as a DC. He’s a DB coach.
