Posted this in the larger thread...

According to a friend that talked to Brennan's uncle, Myles will be back a lot sooner than originally expected. The uncle told him he would be practicing in 2-3 weeks, which I personally find unlikely.

Regardless, things are looking up!

My comment was part tongue in cheek.

But I’ll never get the persistent negativity towards Myles Brennan.

He is a good young man from a very good family.

And he has the capability of being an outstanding QB.

Oh and BTW….he loves LSU.

And the irony of LSU fans that are eagerly ready to throw away a QB with his talent is overwhelming.

Max beat FLA and Ole Miss in his only 2 starts last year as an 18 year old true freshman. Apparently he doesn't have too much to correct.

The two have nothing to do with each other. Tebow won a fricking Heisman and he had a lot of things to work on.

He’s a great competitor and I hope he has a speedy, thorough recovery. But I feel like he’s kind of frail, like Tua.

Brennan's brake was described as 'serious'. And obviously it was quite serious as the brake required surgery . He will not play another snap this year - period.

Go back and watch the game. Yes Max won the game. Yes Max will be an amazing qb. But he got lucky that UF dropped at minimum 5 int’s due to under thrown balls. I’m not bashing and he was just 18 right out of highschool and has had a summer of workouts, so those will be fixed. BUT he did under throw balls in that game and plenty of them.
My prediction is this kid comes in and lights the world on fire.

At that point, Nuss could be legit No2.

Myles can be a reserve QB for the last 5-6 games.

Not as bad as it was originally thought. He will be back unless there is a setback. Unfortunate accident.

Brennan’s arm might be stronger but nobody knows for sure

I know for sure. I know who is taller out of Shaq and Pee Wee Herman, too!

Max’ arm is strong enough. It appears to me to be similar to Burrow’s. Burrow needed to get a little bigger before he developed into average arm strength. Same with Max. Brennan had elite arm strength in high school even though he was skinny as heck.

If it was a displaced fracture with screws and plates, it will take about 6 to 8 weeks of healing with his age, physical fitness and current treatments. I would expect him to be on the practice field in shells within 5 to 6 weeks running through no contact skill drills if he wishes. The fracture, barring complications, will be healed within two months. I could see Myles being on the field by mid October. He will be in a cast and sling for several weeks to stabilize the fracture, but will still be able to maintain some conditioning that does not require a lot of balance...speed walking, slow jogging, leg work on equipment, etc. I am no doctor; this info came from my friend who is an orthopedic surgeon and has dealt with many fractures such as this

Now you can take all of that information and basically toss it in the garbage. What you haven’t factored into that equation is the fact that Myles is draft eligible and they won’t take that risk and rush him back.

I will take bets with anyone, He won’t be on the field until a minimum of November if that at all.

Draft eligible? Lol. Look I'm a Brennan fan, but come on, he has accomplished zero so far.

That doesn’t mean he won’t get drafted.

Really feel for the kid with this injury. After all he has been through, doubt he is going anywhere. He is committed to LSU. If Max is winning, it will not make a difference when he is ready; you can’t pull a winning QB. He might be better off taking a medical redshirt & start over next year.
He could be dressed & ready to go in case Max has an injury. Guessing he would put the helmet on, future be damned. You have to admire his dedication to the program.

Agree with all of this.

November in the SEC is a bitch, though. So it would be nice to have Brennan available JIC.

Looks like that timeframe may work out.

First off, I hope Brennan makes a full speedy recovery but I think Max was going to be the clear cut starter anyway.
Agree with several guys above that only way he starts now is if Max totally fricks up which I doubt.
So best scenario for Brennan now would be to medical redshirt this year then transfer out and play one solid year as a starter somewhere else likely a smaller school then enter the draft.
If Max has a great season as I expect, we have Max, Nuss and WH next season with no room for Brennan.
Just wish the best for Brennan. He has had some tough breaks and is a true Tiger!
