I’m all for it. Frick that saboteur.

Plus I loved Sue. She was a terrific person.

I don’t think either of them deserve the court name. They both never won a championship. When Mulkey wins two championships they need to get rid of both and name it after her.

Jordy said if this happened it would literally kill Dale Brown. Anyone checked in on him?

What happens if his tombstone ends up next to a woman's?

"He never won with all that talent. Shitty x's and o's coach"

"He got us Johnny Jones"

"I heard he tried to get Will Wade fired"

That's it. For a lot of people here all they know about LSU basketball is the post Brady coaches. They were too young for the deaf dome, the Cinderella slipper, the standing in front of a microphone and absolutely shredding the ncaa, the running on the court starting a fight to defend his players. They don't understand that everything that was great about Wade - the fire, the cockiness, the ability to bring talent to BR... all of that was Dale. With a little more showmanship.

I'm going to get down voted to hell but I am old enough to appreciate both Brown and Wade. Wish those 2 could have gotten along.

But his family said adding Sue’s name to the court is hurting his health!

I don’t hate Dale. He was great for LSU at the time. Did he overstay his welcome? Yeah. But all in all he was a positive for LSU basketball.

However, if honoring Sue Gunter, who was widely respected and thought of as one of the better women’s basketball coaches of her time, seriously bothers him, then frick him. He has no right to accolades or to keep them from her. If LSU decides to honor both, then I am good with it. Personally I think it’s silly because the whole thing is going to be named after Kim soon enough, but in the meantime no harm in honoring Gunter. She did as much as Dale did.

Not sure why LSU is trying to honor so many people. Statues. Names. It’s all silly. Nobody deserves their name on that court if they didn’t win anything. Coaching for a long time doesn’t deserve that level of respect. Especially after putting the program on probation.

Coaches who deserve name recognition on a court if building.

1. John Wooden
2. Pat Summit
3. Coach K
4. Bobby Knight
5. Dean Smith
6. Adolph Rupp
7. Geno at UConn

If you ain’t won like these cats, you are not on this kind of level.

This would start a legitimate Dale-Sue argument since Calhoun was pretty great. Also I think they actually disliked each other.

I’ve got an Ex SIL that worked at Ralph & Kacoo's years ago. She was a waitress , Dale used to frequent them a good bit most of the time with 10 or more. She said all the waitresses hated waiting on him because he never tipped. She said someone else in his party tried to tip and Dale got pissed. He said the restaurant pays them and doesn’t believe In tipping. Just a Dick move, she was very nice to everyone and honest

Dale Brown is a giant egomaniac. I loved the excitement of the 1981, 1986, and 1987 teams. But he is a jerk. Getting Brando and Guilbeau to do his dirty work is disgusting.

I saw them all. This board would have loved “4 corners spread” to kill the clock before the shot clock days.
