re: If I had to sum up this year's Tiger BB team in two words....

I love that this team is scrappy and has learned to win the close ones. Games like this will be very helpful in the tourney.
Now, with that being said...
They are much more talented than most of the teams they've lost to. Should have never lost to Florida in the first game. Should not have lost to Arkansas...etc...etc. Defensive lapses and going away from what works on offense is frustrating. You could see the difference when they were throwing up threes versus running an offense through Reid.
Just a few things I saw.

For that reason I say pump the brakes on elite 8. Just as likely they go down in round 1b to the WHO?? conf. runner-up.
I see a dozen mid majors are 23-4 or better. Several have a future pro. They know who the go to guy is.

No Respect
I kinda understand the no respect thing as we came out of nowhere on the scene this year, won a bunch of close games, and just never really dominated many games. We as fans should be ecstatic with the season they’ve had and no matter what happens from here on out it has been and will go down as a great season. We knew they’d be better this year but no one thought they’d win the SEC or even be this close. I of course would love to see them win the SEC tourney, get a good seed in the NCAA tourney and make a deep run but as long as they win a game or two I’ll be happy. Ok maybe not at the exact moment if they lost 2nd game but once it’s all over it’s been a great season! Geaux Tigers!!!

Cardiac Kids. It's almost like they just can't win unless they make it dramatic. 3 point lead with the ball and under a minute to go. If Tremont doesn't lose the ball LSU wins in regulation. If Skylar makes his free throws LSU wins in regulation. Well, more than likely they would of won, but they just want to make things heart wrenching.

And you know what that means, right? The Vandy game will be an absolute scrap. We should win, but it will be by 5 points or less, we will all be nervous to the very end.

I agree with this.
There are definite concerns I have about the possibility of running into a hot shooting team, if LSU is cold from the outside, but they have shown they can do so many other things well, that they CAN over come that.
The main thing that always concerns me about ANY LSU team who has ever gotten into the big dance, is whether they'll have the nerves to deal with the pressure in every play that comes with facing elimination. With this team, I know they can handle the pressure of just about any situation. So, if they lose, it won't be because they choked. But they've got an excellent chance to get to the final four, and possibly win it all, with their skill and mental makeup.
IF they clean up some mistakes and get hot from the outside to go with it? I'm not sure any team could beat them.

I've said it all year, this team is "Frustratingly Fun" to watch.
