Care to defend you position on this matter?
Defend what? That better credentialed coaches are better credentialed? Seems pretty obvious to all but the insecure O sycophants.

Do you honestly believe the same team that lost to Troy and Miss St is the same team we have going into the bowl game?
No, not at all. But I don’t see how that’s relevant to my point. It still happened. Could be going for 11-2 for the first time since 2011.

Remember when Jimbo lost to Louisville 63-20?
Then that very same year, Ed Orgeron's Tigers kept the Heisman winner out of the endzone and won 29-9?
I remember.

It doesn't work like that. Every game is a unique event. Teams can play very well one week and crappy the next. Really good teams can level it out better, but a football season has its ebbs and flows from week to week. It's just the way it is.

For an ACC school, that’s not very impressive..

The circumstances surrounding their hire would be very different and thus expectations would be different
O set his expectations. We were a national championship contending team just held back by Miles and a couple tweaks here and there and we will be winning championships in no time. That's how he sold himself to get the job. That's what's in that stupid arse binder.
........until we lost to Miss state. Then all of a sudden we were rebuilding and young and it'll get better yada yada yada
Bringing in a new coach to change the culture completely and new staff with different philosophies would undoubtly give that coach more leeway than one who set his expectations higher than he could achieve in year 1

And top-tier programs have been jumping at the bits to hire Miles..right?

Hence why I provided the stats for Jimbo's last 3 years.
14-10 in the ACC.
Plenty big enough sample size.

I don't think Herman makes it to 9-3

What does that have to do with anything I said?

I can try to spin it the same way you are right now:
Remember when Jimbo won a National title at FSU? Remember when Orgeron won one at Ole Miss? I remember

What about a new Offensive Coordinator with new offensive scheme?

1. It was a terrible hire. Even if O wins 6 NCs in a row the best that can be said is that it was a lucky hire. No real search for a long term solution was sought --- or, at least, that it how it appears now. Many more qualified candidates were not even considered. For crying out loud Minnesota gets Fleck and we get O? Seriously?
2. If Herman or Jimbo had lost to Miss. St. in spectacular fashion and lost to Troy the fan base would have rightfully been up in arms.
3. If Herman or Jimbo had gone 9-3 with losses to Alabama, UA and one other not Troy/Miss. St team I do not see near the angst occurring. Same for O. Troy and Miss St. were 2 of the worst LSU losses in the last 20 years.
4. If O does not abandon the premise on which his candidacy was built --- I let my coordinators coach --- resulting in the loss to Troy, I do not see the fan base in such an uproar.
The book has yet to be written on O. But as of the day he was hired there was nothing to say his hiring would lead us to the promised land and there still isn't. The best that you pumpers can say is "he learned." Did it take those embarrassing losses for him to learn he knows exactly jack shite about offense?

If anyone thought this was a national championship team before the season started they are dumb. Danny Etling is our quarterback...

Remember when Jimbo beat Florida 31-13? That was the very same year that Ed Orgeron's Tigers lost at home to that very same Florida team that was filling roster spots with the bottom of the barrel.

We were told that's what we needed to get to the next level. So why would I expect less from that regime that tells me it's going to be better?

I wouldn't be any more optimistic with either of those guys with the schedule we have next year.
