The fact they wanted to do salutes for the Bama Game is pretty idiotic. Not only does that restrict parking in the parade ground area till 11 or so, it means a lot of tailgates can't set up their stuff until 11 or so. Normally they do it for the Miss State game, or one of the earlier home games. It's gonna be a clusterfrick for parade ground tailgates, on the busiest tailgate day of the year.

Damned veterans are ruining your parking and tailgating, huh?

They could do it for literally any home game of the year. Why choose the one where that area specifically is gonna be the most heavily used by tailgaters. Especially when in previous years you haven't. It doesn't make any sense. That doesn't mean I hate veterans, my tailgate isn't even on the parade grounds. It's just just poor planning on LSU's part.

Edit: I take it back. Looks like it's always in November. I still believe they could have found a much better weekend to do it on then this one. The now Florida, was South Alabama, weekend for example.

Parking lot of Tigerland would work. Could feed the cast some Gameday Steaks.
Desmond can get some girls from Reggie's. Pollack will go to JL's. Corso will get a ride over to Bogie's.

I was at the PMAC for Gameday early in the morning of the '03 UGA game that has been mentioned. I recall a fairly young guy (student?) being absolutely hammered on the ramp during the show. I think he got to the point of wanting to urinate but not realizing he was out in public.

That was a few years after I finished at LSU but reminded me of the time we played Florida at 11:30am so we decided it would be best to stay up all night partying. We lost 28-10 (I think - Kennison punt return for TD called back in the game) and a few from our krewe ended up taking cat naps during timeouts in the 2nd half when the crowd started losing interest.

Well I assure you they will go to OSU for the Michigan game, plus Nebraska has to beat wisky this weekend.the LSU/ Bama game has way more storylines involved. And it's the only chance they come to BR this season.

Umm... So about that. That might have been me that was the day I learned that my bladder holds more than a beer can can hold. I don't remember what I did with the can or what I did when it started overflowing.

Gameday has more set pieces than it did when they set up on PMAC ramp. They have that turf field and two sponsored fan sections that need a lot of air time. Seems like they'd have to pick a big open area.

No they don't. It's always closest home game to Veteran's Day.

Perhaps you should read up a little on the history of LSU and it's impact with the various military branches.

Not necessarily. If we beat Bama they would probably come for the Florida game the week before Thanksgiving. Everything that went down has created a great story. Not to mention that the loser is out of the SEC championship race. But they will probably come for the Bama game because if we lose the Bama game then the florida game becomes less compelling.
