If expelled, does it take effect this season or next?

If this season, does our schedule change in any way?
If they cancel our SEC games for this year, given so many fans have made plans for travel and lodging, how big will the class action lawsuit be against the SEC?
Once the SEC is bankrupt, where will all of the teams end up and will get a better landing spot due to being the first out?

I'd assume after the 26/27 academic year.

The games already scheduled will be played. If they kick us out it would likely take effect 2027. Probably later than that though, or never. There would be lawsuits filed out the arse if they vote to kick us out

That’s a separate vote. It could be immediate. It could be after the season. It could be in 2,3,4,5, or whatever years from now.
A lot of bullshite talk has been said about the pull ESPN will have…….the SEC can sidestep their concerns by keeping LSU for the duration of the current contract.
There are no rules or precedent for this shite.

Absolutely not. LSU needs to be on the phone with every single brand that has a vested interest in LSU and the SEC. At the same time they need to have the counter lawsuits lined up, be talking to the speaker of the house, both senators and have a plan to squeeze every damn dollar out of the SEC and universities behind this. You don’t ask for forgiveness here, you bring a machine gun to the brass knuckle fight.
