Well, if he gets jacked out of the job, he isn't going to play anyway. So why wouldn't playing this year matter to him? What would matter to him is being jacked out of the job. Would you play for a staff that jacked you out of the job?

And then you have to know that his NFL QB coach dad is talking to a lot of coaches that are telling him that if Nuss transfers, let him transfer to our school because we will play him right away.

Of course, Brian Kelly isn't stupid enough to risk losing Nuss to the transfer portal to start a QB who just flat out can't throw. As LSU best chance to win in 2022 is with Nuss being the starter.

I would think that Nuss would sit out the year to get ready for draft and then would be picked up by the Cowboys in the draft. Myles will ultimately sit out this year if this happens and then he will lead the comeback of the Centenary College Football program next year.

No, I think that it's to late for Brennan. That guy is ancient. Nuss is gonna win the job

If Daniels is our starting QB, I'm transferring.

Jayden has started for a few years and there was talk if he had a good season last year that he was off to the NFL He has his degree. If his stock is high enough, he will likely leave after this season to try out the NFL.

What are you smoking? Jayden is no SEC caliber QB, let alone a legitimate NFL prospect.

Everybody is going to hold their nose and then transfer.

Myles can still leave and be immediately eligible. He’s a graduate.

I think you are mistaken. As far as I can tell, graduates are still required to notify their school of intent to transfer (i.e. enter the portal) by May 1 to be eligible the same year for fall and winter sports.

The season starts in 17 days. Where is Brennan going to go that provides him any better opportunity to play?

LA Tech, USM, ULM, ULL, South Alabama, UCF.

There you go. The whole premise of the OP and the debate is all bull shite because both guys are locked in for this season anyway. They either stay here and work for an opportunity, or they quit and sit out until Spring. At which point Brennan is done for good.

Nuss isn’t going anywhere until at least November if he’s not named the starter. He would be a fool to transfer and sit out the entire year when he’s an injury (or a couple of bad games) away from starting this year at LSU.

If he isn’t starting at the end of the season, it’s obviously a different conversation.

Anyone who is not blind and who has at least half a brain knows that any QB that only threw for 10 touchdowns with 10 interceptions in an entire season last year isn't an SEC caliber QB or an NFL prospect, except, of course, for you.

If Myles wanted to leave, he'd be gone already. He isn't going anywhere. He is going to be a backup and collect his lucrative NIL gravy train as long as he can. Then when he graduates from Grad school, he'll leave.

If Nuss gets jacked out of the starting job, he is inevitably going to hit the transfer portal so fast that it will make Brian Kelly's head spin. But don't worry, Brian Kelly isn't going to risk losing Nuss to the transfer portal to start Daniels who half the posters on this forum can pass better than he can. Not going to happen.

Yep. Looks like Brennan is locked in - see the second paragraph below in bold.

"This year (2021 -2022), the date for all athletes to notify their current schools that they intend to transfer is July 1. Those dates will shift to May 1 for fall and winter sport athletes and July 1 for spring sport athletes in subsequent years.

The one-time exception will count for athletes who transfer after graduating. Previously, NCAA rules permitted athletes who had graduated to transfer and be immediately eligible.

Daniels isn’t winning out anything. Would you madden players please realize this for the love of god. Go watch the kid TRY to throw the ball in spring or in practice tapes. He’s horrible throwing. He’ll have some special packages for him no doubt but if he’s starting LSU has lost 2 possibly 3 QBs for the season.

Yes.

Unfortunately, that is the world we live in.

If Daniels plays well, then Nuss will be QB2.

Myles should be able to transfer because he's a graduate. I'm sure Nicholls, McNeese, UL, Southern Miss, Tulane, or Southeastern.
