I agree. He's not going to win a job in 17 days at a new school. However, he is eligible to try if he so chose.

As for Nussmeier. He could easily stay this season, see what goes down with Daniels, and then make a decision in the Spring. Because again, the season starts in 17 days. Where is he going to go and play immediately.

Nuss would be ineligible to play this season if he chose to leave now. I think he will stay for the season and see what happens with Daniels. Jayden has started for a few years and there was talk if he had a good season last year that he was off to the NFL He has his degree. If his stock is high enough, he will likely leave after this season to try out the NFL.

I think Nuss transfers and Myles stays.

Jayden still has another year and Nuss font want to waste another year behind Jayden next year.
Then possibly get beat out by Howard the next year

Dude, who cares. Only one guy can take snaps. The portal is a revolving door. It takes away, but it also gives. It’s going to be fine

You're an injury or a three interception game against Auburn away from starting. Why leave?

Perhaps one of them, but not both. Both will probably wait and see what the other does before acting. If Daniels is going to be counted on to be a major runner from the QB position, there is a very good chance he will not make it through the year without injury. The backup QB may very well play most of the season, so those backups need to pay attention before bolting.

Why did Nuss give Daniels #5?

Pretty sure he had to notify the school he was transferring before July 1st to be immediately eligible even as a grad transfer.

Myles is staying. He is happy and content to be the backup as long as he can continue to collect his lucrative NIL gravy train.

Nuss is going to inevitably enter the transfer portal.

However, Brian Kelly isn't stupid, he is not going to risk losing a talent such as Nussmeier to the transfer portal to start a QB who can't throw for shite.

Not only would LSU lose Nuss but LSU will go 6 & 6 at best with Daniels the starter.

I personally think Nuss transfers if he doesn't win

LOL. Why would he transfer?

He came here fully expecting Brennan to start for two years and having a shot to start in 2023. Where would he be able to go, in August, and start?

Anything is possible, but it would be foolish.

Now, Brennan is definitely leaving if he doesn't win the job, likely to an FCS or G5 school.

The only team that showed Myles any interest was Southern Mississippi. However, when Myles saw their ugly arse campus, their shitty football program, and their joke for NIL, he realized that he had fricked up royally.

Then Brian Kelly called and offered him to come back to LSU to increase the competition in the QB room, and Myles jumped at the opportunity. Not to win the starting job, but instead to be the backup and get back on the lucrative NIL gravy train for as long as possible.

Anything was better than playing for Southern Mississippi even for one year.
